I'm a tall, well built, athletic guy.
It's just that convos takes a lot of energy out of me. As if I just ran a 5 mile marathon.

I pretty much have the same think (I will not call it a problem). I have been with a lot of women for my age and I think there have been only 2 that I didn't know at all.
You said it would be a yes if it was from your social circle. Well, how about expanding that circle? Best thing about it? You don't even have to do it! Meet friends of friends, friends of co-workers etc. Expand that circle!
I myself feel very uncomfortable going straight up to a stranger and talking. Nevertheless, when I get to meet a woman I am interested in (via social circle) I will attack full strength! I love talking to women and I love that thing that you say it drains you out.

A more chill, low energy guy will do better one on one than with groups. He probably won't be the guy gaming a group of women. Either do social circle or cold approach lone wolves.
