"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Calling the first # from tuesday - help

So I'm about to call the girl on the left from my fat tuesday picture, but I'm not certain how/what I want to do.

Any advice?

I wanted to call tonight around 4-5pm when I'm wrapping up work and perhaps tell her I'm about to leave work in an hour or so and was going to be stopping by starbucks on my way home... and if she liked she could join me.

What other suggestions does anyone have? I don't want to call on fri/sat (don't want to look desperate) but then again if I wait I'm looking at sunday which is the day before valentines (also would look desperate) I can't call on v-day, so I'm looking at next tuesday which I think will make her a cold fish by that time

Bah, kinda confused on an approach, it may be ok to call and ask her if she wants to go dancing where we met and already have danced... but that doesn't really give me the one on one time if she brings a friend or the other things that could come up...

What do you think?

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

hm... sounds good

but instead of saying "would you like to join me"

be more like "hey i'm gonna grab a drink and relax at starbucks... come meet me and we'll kick back together and have a little fun and talk"

blah blah blah

be the bright spot of her day

don't ask her to come dancing with you
get to know her first, and then she'll ask YOU

How drunk was she when you met her?

I never like to call people that I meet in bars, especially on an occasion such as Fat Tuesday; reason being I don't like it when girls call me that I met in a bar because most of the time I barely remember what they like look or what their personality is like. I think I'm just sick of being around drunk people. :)

i've decided i'm going to call her tomorrow and set up going out to starbucks. I got busy tonight and I'm not going to have time to go tonight so tomorrow is better.

Since it will be friday I'm going to aim for early (6:30-7:30ish) and hopefully get her to ask me to go with her and some friends to a club, I'll likely say no and tell her I have plans and that she could try and call and see if I can get out of them later on.

:D

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Let us know how it goes.

You mentioned in a post that you are from Portland Oregon? I live in Corvallis and am moving up to portland in a couple weeks for school. I was wondering how the scene is around there? I can't stand most of the girls around here (greek types) so I'm hoping the change will be nice.

Anyway, GL on this one.
