Whitney Wolfe Herd started Bumble in 2014. She was also involved in early stage Tinder from 2012-2014.
Due to declines in Bumble stock, Wolfe Herd has lost her billionaire status. Seems like she had too much of her personal fortune in company stock.
Despite working at Tinder and Bumble for the past 11 years, Wolfe Herd did not meet her husband on either Tinder or Bumble. The former Whitney Wolfe met oil and gas heir Michael Herd on an Aspen ski trip in December 2013 while still working at Tinder.
Bumble is the rare dating app that is not a part of The Match Group.
Bumble's paying customers are men. If men aren't getting any value out of Bumble, they are going to depart. Most men aren't having a good experience on Bumble. The same is true for Tinder and Hinge.
Women have ruined dating, hence why apps no longer work.

Whitney Wolfe was in a top sorority at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in the Dallas area. SMU has a reputation as a rich kid's school. She would not have gone out with the typical guy on campus there unless he had a lot of money. That explains why she met a man on an Aspen ski trip.
When she was working at Tinder, she dated one of the co-founders.
The apps will have to mold interaction in favor of men in order to survive. Men are it’s lifeblood.
Just the same way the apps shifted women into becoming the ridiculously hypergamous creatures they are in 10 years of their existence they can turn the tide in the other direction.
Many men are leaving online dating sites. I have been reading about this for the past couple of weeks. I think these sites became oversaturated with too many men over time and the results were poor because of this. The earlier days of online dating were in favor of them men but once the word got out to other men then tons of men jumped on board. My prediction is that more men will jump ship but in the next 3-5 years a new technology will come along that will favor men. Social media has helped women but the next thing will help us.
Well their revenue comes from men, if their revenue is down it’s because men are leaving. Given men are often 6:1 on these apps AFC’s won’t see the change for a while.
The bottom line is that women are the commodity, and men are willing to pay for what they believe is access to them. The commodity comes to the apps for free, it delivers itself - provided they are entertained enough they stay. As a result women are presented with only the most desirable of men based on the algorithms, to keep their attention. The average man who has not figured out how to play the algorithms is presented with all the women.
My prediction is that more men will jump ship but in the next 3-5 years a new technology will come along that will favor men. Social media has helped women but the next thing will help us.

THe new tech already exists it's "AI girlfriend apps" you get everything minus the real human connection, physical companionship etc. It's artificial but to these men it's better than nothing. 5-10 years from now dating will be super different 20-30 years from now the world will be unrecognizable

I once matched with Whitney. She was using Bumble when it first came out. I deleted the match instantly because had read plenty about her and could not stand her.
This is great news! I'm glad to see her lose 2/3 of her fortune and get kicked out of hér company. She deserves it. Shows you how stupid she is. She must have been a majority stock holder.
Bumbles gross profit the past few years:
2021: 690,422
2022: 653,013
2023: 786,124
Their operating income has been negative so has their pretax income.
Their working capital is less than 300k.
They are close to going broke.
I imagine the board of investors forced her out as CEO and kept her on the board because she has so many shares.
You can bet match will look to pick bumble up for pennies on the dollar.
Most all of these apps fail at some point. All of them are fads. Eventually they will all fail if they don't charge how they operate.

Whitney wasn't even single then. She was looking to talk to the customer base. Whitney has been in the same relationship with some guy she met on an Aspen ski trip while she was still working at Tinder.

This is how I felt about it too. She is a Southern Methodist University graduate and was in a top sorority there. She would definitely fit the stereotypes of both Southern Methodist University and the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She has been an elitist wealthy female her whole time.

Not true. I never paid for it and virtually every women I talked to on there said THEY were the ones that had to pay to be able to access messages.
Also you are wrong on Bumble and Hinge, I did fantastic on there. Tinder no clue, never tried. POF and OKC were once pretty decent but turned terrible long ago.
I think there are less women on these sites nowadays because women have to pay. The adantage of POF and OKC were that they were free. Are most women desperate enough to pay for paid sites nowadays?
