uhhhh noo

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.
You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.
The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.
Attraction runs on a clock.
She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.
The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."
One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.
Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
I feel ya dude, one even said to me "Sorry I dont talk to strangers"Originally posted by Swoop
Week 4, Friday
Went bowling today and saw this cute chick that looked very familiar. I went up to her and ask if I know her. Before I could get going, she shot me down and turn away. That was one quick rejection.
6 rejections, 4 more to go. Only 2 more days left, hopefully I can get it done.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
Thanks for the feedback. It helps me continue to try even though I got knock down so many times now.Originally posted by \O/
Swoop, you really impress me!
You put yourself out there more so than most people on this site..And you keep hanging in there. Your replies are inspirational, even though they don't always turn successful.
Keep it up dude. You are destined to be successful with women they way you are trying and failing!!
yeah I think I need some more time. My cold is disturbing me.Originally posted by RBB
Bootcamp '05, so who's still alive?
It's like the last scene of The Last Samurai. I see fallen DJs along the green fields of weeks 1-4. Heh, it looks to me a slaughter. I'm sure everyone has their battle wounds to show and stories to tell now. But getting this far in BC has granted me the greatest feeling of achievement. I'm sure you have the same feeling. It's been a good journey. So let's continue..
Week#4 is taking two weeks for more of you. Well so what? Every man, every BC soldier, will shoulder by shoulder march through to greater self achievement and self improvement.
By the end of thursday I'll have my 10 rejections and will be able to do Bootcamp week#5. I think the only BCer who has 'swooped' gracefully into week#5 would be Swoop.
So, I guess everyone else would want more time like me. I have enough numbers I've gotten throughout BC to do week#5. But MOTU probably wanted us budding DJs to get all TEN rejections to achieve the iron skin we all need.
I'm getting to week#5 no matter what. I'll see you there! Hai!!!
You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Hey Swoop - why didnt you AMOG the damn fool? Take him out of the equation all together!
Ill get a week 5 thread up man!
Sarge On...
To update my situation, I'm putting it on hold for a couple of weeks, I've got a hell of an important couple of weeks career wise this week and next, and this combined with my weights schedule and part-time job means that week 4 of bootcamp is really 1 extra thing to think about at the moment for me.Bootcamp '05, so who's still alive?
'who said owt bout a relationship?!' - you could have quite possibly turned this around. And HB6.5 responded "Oh that's nice but I am not looking for a relationship right now." Then I said "Oh that's cool."
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
