Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
never justified to beat up a girl but you're right, 99% of guys would leave or pretend not to see it happening...I'd be very wary, maybe intervene 'cos I know I can handle myself in a fight but still, that guy's 250lb...~attrACTION~ said:And, why would anyone who is not involved intervene? I mean, if I was in that bar, I would pretend to not even see it happening.
You get involved you may end up in jail. Don't try to play "captain-save-a-hoe" or save someone who may not deserve being saved. Why risk your life for something that has nothing to do with you? Like Skel said, you don't even know what's going on. All you see is a fight. Maybe it was her fault that she is getting battered.
I've also been in a situation where I tried to "take the law into my own hands" so-to-speak and ended up in court because of it. Yes, the situation is messed up, but I would rather not get involved. Anyone with half a brain would agree.
Let me guess, if you saw a guy beating his "girlfriend" in a public place, you would try to save her?
Looks like you get what I'm saying then.ricorico said:Some people who just got there thought I started it and looked at me like I was some sort of bully.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

welcome to my block list, dumb assdjSlvt said:AK-74 is more like it, or a shotgun. Sure, if you're in a black neighborhood, who cares. But if you're in a nicer white area, and crap like this happens (which it almost never don't), you'd intervine. You don't have to be big, just carry a lot of balls, no trash talking, go for the chin.![]()
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
I blame the feminists.ricorico said:Did you notice how these 2 guys stood at the bar and did nothing? Unbelievable. Noone stepped in until that 250lb cop seemed to have lost steam. That's when 2 old guys(who probably walked in from outside) tried to help. Those guys that watched it should get and ass kicking themselves.
I would simply leave and find a new bar.~attrACTION~ said:And, why would anyone who is not involved intervene? I mean, if I was in that bar, I would pretend to not even see it happening.
Yup. no chivalry here. This is also what I was thinking.
I haven't, but I know someone who has. I'm not repeating their stupid mistake.I've also been in a situation where I tried to "take the law into my own hands" so-to-speak and ended up in court because of it. Yes, the situation is messed up, but I would rather not get involved. Anyone with half a brain would agree.
FVCK NO! Not my problem. Why is she with him anyway? Pretty stupid if you ask me. She gets whats coming for her mistake and I won't be one to take some of the hurt off her shoulders. Dumb broads.Let me guess, if you saw a guy beating his "girlfriend" in a public place, you would try to save her?
It all boils down to conditioning. The white man will stand there and "think", and the black or latino man will "act". The white man (and this is broad generalization) was probably raised in the suburbs, and growing up, the worst thing he had to deal with was being called silly names or getting a black eye from a fistfight. The black or latino man (again, broad generalization) was likely raised inner-city, and grew up around crime and violence. So when a white man is in situations like this, he'll start thinking, "Wow, I'd really like to do something, but I might get hurt, or killed. Worse yet.... I might go to jail." because he's never been in this situation before. The black or latino man will simply react, because he's probably been there before.ricorico said:Why are white men more cowardly than blacks or latinos?
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
