The way that
I see this working is that you're more comfortable AIMing or texting, and you're searching for validations that make your preference more acceptable to you. The reason that I think this is because despite that fact that everybody who initailly responded to this post told you not to ask her out via these methods, you did it anyway.
I'm telling you man, unless you write like Herman Melville, you're not going to elicit any lasting emotions with written communication, at least not in the attraction stage. Sure, maybe once you've been dating a while, then you can actually make them feel something. But during the preliminary stages, when you're just getting to know them, non-personal contact is detached from your actual self. Like I said before, it's not you talking to her, it's just words. One of the keys that the really successful employ is not just what they say, or even how they say it, but that those things are bonded to them. When a girl thinks about what you said, she's also thinking about what you looked like, what you smelled like, your posture, your air of control, all of the litle things that are involved while you were saying something. When she's reading something you wrote, obviously, you're not there. She doesn't bond the words she's reading with you, at least not nearly as much as when she is in your presence. Even over the phone, you are controlling your tone and tempo enough that what you say is ingrained in her mind with you. You simply
cannot do that with writing. If you could, you'd be writing NYTimes best-sellers, not hanging out on a forum.
You can pique her interest, but you are not going to forge any emotional connection, and that is the idea.
