The article is from 2016, which is ancient by the standards of swipe apps. I can say that there is still some relevance to the article.
There is a dangerous feedback loop on swipe apps. It all comes down to the shiit match percentages for most men.
I think most men go into swipe apps with a decent plan. They originally swipe on women that meet whatever criteria they have. The problem starts when they swipe a lot, have few matches, and even fewer conversations and dates. Then, in order to salvage the effort, men will often drop their standards to up the number of matches. This leads to bad outcomes.
The top tier of men will do the best when they drop down. A 8+ man will end up banging a bunch of women in the 5.5-6.5 range but never committing to them because why would he? If an 8.5 man wants to commit, a 6 isn't going to be it. He wants to commit to an 8-8.5 woman, but maybe he's not getting their attention. The guys who are 6-7 are dumpster diving and are stuck with 4.5-5.5 if they want to get their penises wet.
Swipe apps are a great way to mate down.
from experience , I can tell you that you do get matched with the 7+ women, just not as often
the main problem with this women is that they are not active on the apps to begin with , as they have things going on in the real life
I am trying a new strategy , basically trying to get the 6-7 range girls out for a coffee or some drinks at a bar , and use them as a bait for the 8+ ones
by coming with at least with a decent looking girls to a place you become pre selected , which is very important tool in the arsenal
way Better results than going to a place alone or with a friend
that it is why it is super important for guys to realize that the odds all the time are against them , and think about ways on how to game the system
even for Normal looking guys , if you go out with a 5 , you will have a better chance to get the 6 or the 7
just because the odds are against you , it does not mean that you should accept being a loser . That is the main difference between an alpha and a beta
