"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Going to keep this short as possible..

I am 39 years old... she is 46 years old.

Been dating 5 months now, we seem to get on fine!

Was a little rocky the first month, but now things seem good. The sex is good, we have things in common, and we don't really argue!!

We have talked about living together at some point, or moving to another country.. from the u.k to florida!!

Its only been discussed in a jokey fashion, not very seriously..

Also she wants yo meet my family, and she has invited me to meet hers!!

My question.. do we both need to slow down? Or just go with the flow??

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I mean it depends what you want...she obviously is trying to rope you in, so if that's what you want then I guess that's your call.

IMHO, at your age I would be dating down several years(ie, 32,33). I wouldn't want to be banging some wrinkly @ss, loose pvssy when I'm 45 when you could have some mid 30's instead of some mid 50's pvssy...

Agree with Marmel that it depends what you want...

But about the age thing....in principle I agree but to look at another point of view....how long do relationships last? My longest was five years. So i kind of think the majority of relationships have a shelf life....so does it matter thinking if five years time or in ten years time she will be....possibly wrinkly! It probably won't last that far...probably.

That been said...46 on paper seems ancient, but... I recently had an "experience" lets say, with a chick of 45 years of age. Now, you would never think she was 45.....I made a comment about her body....now this wasn't to kiss her ass it was to turn the conversation to the physical...I said "you're in good shape. you obviously look after yourself" she replied 'nah it's genetics man...I don't do anything!!!!" she was in tremendous condition....

On a side note: talking about the future......I try not to on a serious level. However I find it a good tactic to future project yourself with her if you want her to invest more and think of the two of you together. As long as it's a tactical move...for example "we could live in greece, you could sell icecreams on the beach and I could run the beachside bar"

To answer your question should you slow it down: I would a little bit....you want a minimum of six months before all that meeting the family ****e. a minimum. Slow it down for the sake of slowing it down, keeping your own frame and keeping a healthy perspective...

Take it easy baby...
