"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Hey all, for my anthropology class Im doin a paper on dating/relationships and as a result, im doing a survey as one of my sources on what the ladies are lookin for. Ive done a lil surveying but ive been all nervous at making any sort of conversation with the ladies in fear of them thinkin im only wantin somethin from them. As a result, ive been scared to ask the number cause I couldn't get any rapport with them goin while they were fillin out the survey and all. Whats the best way to gain some rapport with them while they are filling it out? Holla back.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Ditch the pen and paper, and grab a tape recorder. Interviewing your subjects will break the ice a bit, seem a lot less formal, and you can ask them to recite their number for "posterity." 'Sides, it'll be a lot more fun :D

Experiance.

The fact is you need to find something that makes you interesting, you have that in the survey. A simple opener is "Hey, I'm doing a college paper. I was wondering if I could interview you for it because you seem like the kind of person it's about." Whilst your interviewing, just make conversation, like "So, you been interviewed before? No, well I haven't done this before either. Was it as good for you as it was for me?"

The more approaches you make the more you'll be able to cope with them walking off and see it really doesn't matter. I conquered my fear of rejection when I asked the girl I most fancied out, she turned me down in a nice way and then made her excuses. I still talked to her afterwards, and in fact I think she rather likes me, but I haven't seen her in months. The thing is after I was blown off, the pressure came off and I started acting more real. Once you have the pressure off you'll feel the same.

If you want their number as well, start with that as well. Just look at them and say, "Woah, you're hot. Sorry, I just had to say it. I'm doing a college paper about relationships, can I survey you? It's just like Family Fortunes."

Reach has it pretty much nailed. The only way you'll get over your fear of rejection is by experiencing it; hundreds of times over. This survey could be a real blessing for you if you have trouble approaching women. Just do it - tell yourself you're doing it for class if it makes you feel better, but just do it.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
