If you had about 1000-1500/mo to spend on fixing up your place to make it the ultimate entertaining environment not only for women but your buds as well, what would you get?

If you have the space, a foosball table (table soccer) is excellent entertainment for four guys.

For chicks, try to work all of the senses. You also need at least one chickcentric item. On one of the David D interviews a guy suggests a fountain, even a cheap one. It's a good excuse for her to come back to your place.

CASINOS ULTIMATE BACHELOR PAD

My tastes are very eclectic. I want my crib to embody who i am, where i've been and where i'm going.

The living room is going to have really comfortable vibe to it.

BIG SCREEN

COMFY SOFA/LOVE SEAT/RECLINER

LATEST VIDEO GAME systems (Ps2, XBOX 360)

Surround Sound system

some huge floor plants for a laid back vibe.

a wood book case

The bedroom is going to have a "South Beach" type vibe to it. Really tropical and sexy.

Huge king size bed.
TV (32 inch flatscreen)
plants
some neon lights
a hammock
some water effects
mirrors

Now here is the thing...I am going to have a finished basement that i'm going to turn into a boom boom room. Stripper pole, insane audio system, wet bar, pool tables, black jack table, i mean i'm going to turn it into an underground strip club. that will come with time though. i'm going to have to round up some serious dough for this project

Centaurion: I did search. It was limited because I can't search the word "pad" (3 letters), "crib" gave me too much MTV talk and "apartment" too often wasn't on topic. And from what I did find, most were discussions of kids describing their rooms.

Bible_Belt: The foosball table is a good idea, but not much room for that right now. I'm on a waiting list for a 2 bed with an ocean view, so maybe then. The one chickcentric item is a good idea. Been looking at some fireplaces. Fountain sounds very cool too.

Casino: You da man! I like the tropical idea, and the boom boom room... un-freaking-believable! Just the kind of feedback I was looking for.

Keep those ideas coming!

A guy's room at my school has a tiki bar out on the porch. It's awesome because it's littered with empty beer cans from the everyday parties they have there but it's nice. Inside they have a beer pong table, a huge bud light sign that they stole, and a light-up coors light sign, bar style. They also have a deul basketball-type arcade game, where you compete against the person next to you to get the most points.

There's an idea. I'm thinking indoor tiki bar right in the lounge area with the grass overhang. Got the perfect spot for it too. I have this big half circle area on one wall with 3 huge windows. Plasma on the wall. Big soft couch...Nice!

TIKI BARS are the sh1t.

I was stationed down in GTMO BAY cuba for 1 year and a couple of us built a Tiki Bar on our back porch.

Get some bambo, thatch and dry grass for the top. Tiki torches for lighting and of course those little owl hanging lights. you can get pretty creative with the actual bar if you want. if i lived in a warmer climate i wouldn't hesiate to do this. pretty cheap project and you can actually charge $$$ for drinks if you got enough people stopping by.

Oh I almost forgot. A nice touch to an awesome bachelor pad is a beautiful fish tank stocked with some exotic fish.

If you could find an old fashioned Phone Booth that would be so freaking money..i don't even know where to come across those maybe EBAY but that would be the ish.

get creative with it..i want my place to be like a little mini vacation everytime i walk in the front door.

one more thing...If you know how to work the system you can get most of your bachelor pad essentials free at Rent A center places ;)

yeah i would not mind getting my own place (it would probably have to be a small unit or something like that because its quite expensive here)but it would be good. maybe in six months time.

I am moving away very soon, and one of the first things will be to buy some plants for my room. The extra oxygen will make the room be truly pleasurable to be in, and make it kinda outdoorish. Can't wait.

Oh yea, if you were to do this, don't get plants that attract bugs and stuff, or at least the wrong kind.

putting plants in your bedroom is a stupid idea as they produce co2 during the night.

So what? It's not enough co2 to harm someone. Have you ever heard of someone dying because their houseplants suffocated them?
