Holy crap OP, do not go to a thrift store unless you are aiming for vegan SJW princesses. I know that’s not you at all op.
Since you did not give much information, here is a simple framework to go off of.
1. The women you are most attracted to, what kind of guys are they chasing?
Look at their style and energy. Attraction follows patterns, not luck. Quit trying to shove the square shaped block in to the star shaped hole.
2. What clothes make you feel the most confident and natural?
If you are not comfortable, it shows. Style should feel natural, not like you are pretending.
3. Know your features.
Hair type, skin tone, body build, facial hair, and whether your face looks more masculine or feminine. This part matters the most because it decides what looks good on you and what people notice first. If you ignore this, you will just look like a chimp in a suit.
4. Stick to neutral colors until you understand what works best for you.
And sorry to the Cold Approach crew, but this is where having female friends or a girlfriend really helps. They can tell you what works faster than men ever will.
Example using me:
1 and 2. I have always liked preppy and slightly nerdy school type girls. Because of that, I was comfortable wearing Abercrombie in middle school, which later turned into frat prep brands like Vineyard Vines and Southern Tide. Since I live in Houston now, I have adopted that Woodlands prep look that mixes preppy PFG outdoor wear. I also wear a lot of Lululemon since it works for the gym and work conferences. This is what I feel comfortable in, so you will never see me wearing anything flashy or street inspired.
3. I have dark curly 3C to 4A hair. I used to wear a taper fade until I started dreading my hair. I am around six foot one, athletic with broad shoulders, which rules out most standard or slim fits. I look similar to Caleb Williams from the Bears but with Will Smith’s skin tone. This is why I emphasize this point, because different builds and tones change what works. Some black men can pull off certain styles that I cannot, and I cannot pull off the urban youth look either.
4. Neutral colors always win until you learn what tones and cuts fit you perfectly.
