I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

hey does anyone have input on how effective a crossbow would be after building on free weights for decades?.....i can't find a reliable partner again and am considering a crossbow as an alternative to free weights because my benchin is dangerous with out a spotter for sets of 225+ and i can bearly get 80lbs. dumbells into position for flies though my chest can handle more. my biggest concerns on the crossbow is how effective is it on bench pressing, military pressing, and bicept curls?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Machines are always inferior to freeweights. If you are worried about it and have no spotters, can you twist the weight to one side so that the plates fall off, then let the plates slide off the other side, and rerack the empty bar?

Then work up to dumbell lifting. A 2x80lb dumbell bench press is pretty tough. Always stick with freeweights. Machines will always piss you off after a certain period of time, once you've realized what all you can't do on them.
