Imagine this, you have a young adult male who’s been raised by his grandmother and mother his entire life w/o the father.

The mother is extremely logical, authorative, hypocritical, and won’t be debated with. The grandmother is very empathetic, not too book smart but has experience, and coddling. The father is affable, calm composured, and insightful. While the mother is insightful, she’s a bit brash. Other men in the family are the father’s way.

Would you think the young male’s way of thinking and attitude be drastically changed? If so, how exactly would it be? This is for a psychology class project.

Thanks, SS.

Why are we talking about the father if the kid has been raised "his entire life w/o the father?"
Just to add an extra variable to the project, but disregard that. Focus on the grandmother and mother.

The mother being the dominant figure in his life, being as you put it being authoritve and hypocritical, and unreasonable, prorbably makes most of his decidions for him so he isnt ever going to take charge because mama wouldn't like it.

He probably sucks up to the grandmother because she is warmer than his mother.

He will most likely be shy reserved, and maybe even have a deep dark seeded anger towards women in general. He will never be able to have a proper relationship with them because of the lack of bond with his mother and a deep feeling of feeling unimportant because of the absense of his father.

Perhaps delusional where he has fanticies of harming his mother, and other women to 'right the wrongs?" He feels he has been given in life.

Now with all that said, without actually knowing the guy this is all speculation and a psychological profile from a very cursary glance with your small description.

I would think he would turn out the way he was generically predisposed to turn out.
