Wassup? I got a question regarding alcohol and weight lifting. Of course I did know alcohol had a negative side effect on your physique cause of its empty calories. In other words the more alcohol you drink the fatter you get, even if it doesnt mean you gonna get all fat or whateva. I thought it wasnt more detrimental than candy for example.

But I heared its very very bad if you wanna gain mass, not only because you might feel tired the next day if you were all drunk but also cause it lowers testosterone levels or something. Ive been gaining muscle for like 4 years or 5 ever since I started working out seriously and Im quite satisfied with the results, but I was wondering how much alcohol really affected muscle growth. Id say Ive always drunk like 1 to 2 times a week...earlier in life Id get pretty drunk and now I only drink like 4 beers if I go out. There were times when I drank a lot and whe nI hardly drank........I cant really tell how much it affected my muscle growth though cause I never even thought of that..I just cant remember...so can anyone tell me if its really that bad? Would it really play a role if I drank once or twice a week if I just get tipsy (around 4 beers, 6'3'' tall and not skinny)??How bad are the effects on muscle growth really?

Beer is my recovery drink of choice.

I'm sure it's not going to effect you that much. But, you are right, it has empty calories.

Just drink in moderation...

There's nothing like a beer after a work out.

Beer as a post workout drink, that's pretty funny. Alchohol increases your cortisol production and decreases testosterone production. The post workout time is one of the most critical phases for recovery, and if you want to maximize your gains then definitely don't drink alcohol within a few hours of a workout (optimally don't drink any, obviously).

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

you can be big, but often your alcoholic bodybuilders look soft, and their skin sucks. They always have a nice layer of fat around their pecs and tummy.

i'm sure that if someone was dedicated and determined enough to take up AS, and do all the necessary research, the thought of alcohol wouldn't even cross their mind.

Anabolic Steroids...?

A little slow today. I should of had only one beer for breakfast...

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
