"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Question, a girl showed a lot of interest in me but then dropped the name of another guy...... overthinking this? Is this some dumb test and she wants to see if it rattles my frame? Input, what do you guys think

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Well, you know, this might seem quite odd, but sometimes people will use the name of other people, when engaged in conversation.

Yes, you are overthinking. If you think this is such a big deal, you also might be overestimating her interest in you.

You are definitely overthinking.
Since the population is 50% male, its very likely this event may happen again in the future.
Unless she said "____ is my boyfriend", there really isn't a reason to worry.

I support the test option, a girl when dealing with a potential lover simply doesnt talk "the way it comes" her hamster becomes a professional in the choice of words and lines.

Any single word is accurately chosen according to a particular purpose, even the most stupid girl have a social intelligence which is surprising to imagine for most of us.

I strongly believe the reason for that is:

1)check your frame and see if it collapse under a little bit of pressure

2)gauge your reaction to see how willing to invest in her you are

3)gauge your reaction to see if you quit (check your confidence since guys used to lose usually quit when a contender appears).

They simply know how we think, she doesnt need to say "Im dating Peter and he knows what to do", she could just throw a "Oh I visited that place with Peter" to mindfvck you and obtain the same effect.

I've already noticed that with a chick I was talking to at my part time second job. Casually talking. I'd gotten her number though her talking about smoking pot and getting drunk a few times on weekends when I asked what she did turned me off even though she is a hottie and I never called her to hang out. (I'm not that desperate to get laid.)

Any single word is accurately chosen according to a particular purpose, even the most stupid girl have a social intelligence which is surprising to imagine for most of us.
When I was not at my part time for a week due to a pulled muscle and walked by her area on my way to get some new sweat suits I said hello and made small talk. She asked where I'd been and told her I was out for a week and what for. She casually mentioned after about two months of us BSing: "Oh my boyfriend slipped a disk" I don't know if chiropractors can really help". (I found it odd she randomly all of a sudden chose to mention "boyfriend" though it may've been a "friend" she's mentioned at times previously who got upgraded.) Nevertheless I'm not interested in the boyfriend challenge. (Unless it's possibly used up front in a first conversation as a sh1t test. Then I'm amused.)

I strongly believe the reason for that is:

1)check your frame and see if it collapse under a little bit of pressure
In my case I didn't flinch and kept talking for a minute or so after while ignoring what she said.

2)gauge your reaction to see how willing to invest in her you are
My reaction was none and since the drug mention and the boyfriend drop out of the blue I wasn't willing to invest period.

3)gauge your reaction to see if you quit (check your confidence since guys used to lose usually quit when a contender appears).
Who'd want to waste time "trying" to go after a chick who just dropped the boyfriend out of the blue in conversation? Perhaps some desperate h0rny dude who feels the need to prove his "confidence" to some chick who's already dropped boyfriend. Not I. In the OPs case it's a jealousy reaction card. Possibly in mine too though.

They simply know how we think, she doesnt need to say "Im dating Peter and he knows what to do", she could just throw a "Oh I visited that place with Peter" to mindfvck you and obtain the same effect.

They can't mind fvck us all. I do find it interesting that they love to try though.

I know. What she is doing to you (with the name drop) she is most likely doing to the other dude to see who has the most balls to go for it.

She might just be name dropping you to other dudes. Think about it.

Don't flinch. Unless she states that it's her BF, phuck it, proceed on course as if she didn't even mention it.
