"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

How did you learn to ride a bicycle? How did you earn a college degree? How did you become good at whatever you are good at?
First step is to apply yourself, then keep trying, keep practicing, keep improving, seek the help of others. Don't give up. Celebrate small victories. Eventually you achieve your goal.

How do you think Michael Jordan did it?
With most things you can iterate on the feedback: shot not falling, etc. Trouble I had with game is you mostly don't get useful feedback and have to guess at what to try differently. That was probably the biggest reason I was never consistent; switched my focus to things I could learn in a more straightforward way.
