40 something yr old getting hit on by 24 yr olds?

I am in my late 40's and successful. I still go to the clubs because I enjoy dancing and partying. Yet, I still managed to hang onto my youthful looks--hit the gym every day and eat clean. I sometimes drink and never smoke. I dress very stylish and appropriate for my age.

I get hit on by 24 yr old hotties sometimes and I also seem to vibe with a lot of younger men at the clubs and gyms. Very nice guys.
This hot young girl approached me last night---and said to me "Hey I saw you earlier, do you want to dance? I said sure. They she started flirting with me and putting her arms around me. She asked how old I was. I said guess. She said 45..I said higher. She finally guessed my age. She said wow! Your the same age as my dad! I laughed. She said my dad don't mind if I date older men. I have done it before. She said buy me some shots. I said no. She said come on. I said no I don't buy girls shots ....especially a girl I don't know well enough. She said please...
I said ..."you can take down my number and I will take you and your dad out for shots sometime." She laughed ...and said...just buy me a shot. I said..."You can buy me a shot if you want." So her and her friend left after they realized I wasn't going to open my wallet for them just because she's cute and charming.

She was nice though. Any other older guys deal with this?

Yes, I get this when I go out occasionally for a night on the town in Korea [bar NOT club]. I'm also youngish looking for my age, even though I've got grey hair. I think it is a mix of attraction and curiosity. And the fact that a lot of the twenty something guys are so immature.

As far as buying a drink for a woman, I don't follow a hard and fast rule. Sometimes they are genuine, and other times they just want a free drink. If I'm talking to a woman for half an hour and am going to buy myself a drink, I'll offer them one also. I don't want to be a complete stinge.

How did I know that when someone said a footballer that was under 30 who looked 45 it would be Charlie Adam.

As for girls it's like anything young women see an older guy they make the assumption that they can take advantage and him buy drinks.

I have always fvcked/dated women younger than me.Last year I had several 19-22 year olds hitting me up on Tinder calling me "daddy" right off the bat,I don't mean a sugar daddy they wanted to do straight up twisted role-play.I am living the dream retired and now am in a "relationship" with a woman 15 years my junior who is a hot blonde who pays for more than half of the dates and white hot sex afterwards it does no get any better than this.I am not rich,but younger women who are hot call me hot all the time.....so I must be.

Yes, if I go out I get hit out routinely by younger women, I'm getting ready to turn 42. I pass for early 30's.
If they ask how old I am I ask them to guess and it's always under 35...sometimes they even guess 29. IF I tell them they don't believe me and demand to see my ID. Women don't believe guys over 40 can be jacked like me apparently, lol...

-I am still in good shape. In fact I'm probably in better shape than in my twenties. The idea that men are at their physical prime in their early twenties is a myth. Many, myself included, don't fill out and reach peak muscularity until about 30 years. If on the other hand you're morbidly obese, look 45 at 35 and stink of BO, then sure, you'll be out of place in a night club.

What. No, it is not a myth. It is science. Biology says men enter their physical primes at 20 and begin declining by mid-thirties. Being in better shape than you were before speaks about your training, not your prime. Now if you want to speak about SMV then that's something else entirely.

Good on you for not buying her shots. I was not so smart about 5 years ago and bought endless drinks. I had one particular she-mooch that actually tried to get me to buy a round of shots for her whole table, which included other couples, because it was her birthday!! Like I was going to pay for some guy's drink who is here with his wife, and I only know like 2 other people at her table.
It's amazing.
I saw a friend of mine expose a drink scam that I was unaware of, when some sweet young thing asked him to buy her a shot because it was her birthday. He asked to see her driver's license and she wouldn't produce it. She was lying about her birthday. That never would have even entered my mind!
I've learned a lot since then but the education was expensive.

There are parts of every US City that is a sh!t hole. NOLA is no different, only it's inexpensive to live and date here. NYC, Chicago, LA, and Miami.... go out at night and you are going to spend a ton of cash. In NOLA there are more 'festivals', than days of the year, there are literally hundreds of interesting things to do in NOLA that cost nothing or next to nothing. Also women here do not expect you to spend a bunch of money like the gold-diggers in NYC, LA, and Miami. Can't speck for Chicago because I never tried to date there.

I am from NOLA too, and yes the festivals are great (although Jazz Fest has become ridiculously expensive). I had always preferred the neighborhood haunts to the French Quarter as I didn't care to mingle with the folks who nightlife there, although in younger days, I have boned a few tourists (mainly 30-ish women). One problem with NOLA is that with the gluttony there are even more cow women that the average American locale. Being short. I'm in the 80% of men that 80% of the women don't want to mate with, so I have not been able to do well picking up in the "party" venues, but I can see how being in the 20%, NOLA would magnify the outcome. I consider my pickup locale to be Eastern Europe, where as a retiree I live during the warmer months.

Club scene maxes at mid 30s if you are a good example of mid 30s (think channing tatum, henry cavill those sort of guys)

Past that, even if you are a clooney type you probably are too old for regular success the scene in my opinion

Honestly besides hot women I don't see the appeal of going to a club. It's boring. I'm in my early 30s and I honestly get bored ging to a club

a lounge or "W" type atmosphere is great, women there are receptive to older men but you better be balling too
