She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.

Have you ever gone out to bars or clubs? Don't blame you if you haven't. Just curious.

I don't drink.
One part is that the calories freak me out with my eating disorder. Another, is that I have to drink alot to get drunk. It interferes with other medication. And finally, a history of alcholism runs in my family.Originally posted by Interpol

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Dont take this the wrong way but, Maybe your gay?
Don't examine the act, just start doing little things that you aren't comfortable with and take it one step at a time. I'm still doing stupid things like not returning eye contact when it comes my way, not talking to people when given the opportunity, especially not initiaiting conversations with women which is the only way I'm going to get more comfortable with it. Again, simply start small and gradually work up to more difficult things because you WILL gain confidence from the little things along the way. I still avoid things that put me way out of my comfort zone, but I will reach that point one day. Shyness is part of me, it's never going to completely go away, why do you think doing these things makes me so irrationally uncomfortable? It isn't me, but it also means I won't get anywhere with women. That's why I have to do this. As I get older it becomes more and more embarrassing to know that I've been avoiding this for such a long time, that and HELL.......I NEED SOME PVSSY! I can't take it anymore, it's literally driving me crazy. I actually thought about getting an escort I want it so bad."I am so sick of feeling like this. It's NEVER gonna change unless I do something about it! That time is now!"
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
I don't know what is so unbelievable for youOriginally posted by Barbillus
I mean seriously... for over one year now dozens of people have been trying to help this guy... but he posts the same hopeless responeses with no improvement.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Chancer, you are basically an attention *****. You're playing on people's desires to help you to see how many responses you can get but you don't take *any* of the advice given, do you?
