"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

1. You have stopped competing with your ex.

2. Hearing what your ex is up to doesn't make you cry or feel worthless or angry.

3. Memories don't hurt you or make you cry.

4. You're no longer trying to prove that you're over it - to your ex or to anyone else.

5. You've stopped reading their horoscope (assuming the ex is of a different sign).

6. You don't go to places just hoping to bump into your ex.

7. You stop trying to hack into their email or constantly checking their online diary (blog) or dating site profile.

8. Hearing a special song makes you feel nostalgic and not tearful.

9. You no longer care what your ex thinks of you.

10. You stop wondering if your ex misses you.

11. You stop making excuses to get in touch.

12. You no longer drive by their home or work (or any other place you think they might be.)

13. You have actually arrived at the conclusion the break-up was "for the best".

14. When something really good or bad happens, you, inadvertently phone someone else to share it with.

15. You've stopped counting the days and weeks since the break-up.

16. By taking your power back, you have started to go back to places you enjoyed going to, but have been avoiding, because they reminded you of your ex.

17. When you are on a date with someone new, you don't keep telling stories about your ex; nor do you compare the new person with your ex.

18. When you dream about your ex, it doesn't leave you depressed for the entire day.

19. You've stopped buying the foods your ex liked out of habit, and have started to buy the foods you like.

20. You no longer hold hope you ex will come back nor would you consider re-uniting if he or she did.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

this list shows that i am "over it" then..good to hear ;)

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

you missed a very obvious one:

21. You don't think about or imagine this is your ex when you are in bed with another girl

Seems like if you don't care what happens to your ex then that pretty much sums up your entire relationship with her.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

If you throw around the word gay like it means something, I have news for you. You're a tool.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

You stop checking up on their myspace or facebook.
I still check up on her facebook, but that is because her boyfriend and her are still really good friends of mine.

I broke up with her about a year ago, but still like to hang out with her.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
