The new age advice is mostly about "Looksmaxxing" and while I don't agree with some of the crap i.e. druge use, putting a hammer to your face, steriods. Society has become far more shallow, I mean it's always been shallow but 20 years ago a woman who was a 5 knew her place, now even 5's want guys who are 10s. So there has been a HUGE emphasis on guys getting jacked, grooming etc

One of the reasons while male looks are much more important now than in the past is the fact that women are less financially dependent on men. In more patriarchal societies, a man’s looks are far less important.

I have been to Guatemala and India, and the dating dynamics are pretty similar to here. The guys only look worse on average because we are looking at them through a first-world lens. Take that away, and the dynamics are pretty similar to here. Furthermore, the beautiful third-world passport princess the manosphere loves to over-romanticize is a peasant girl with peasant features like rotten teeth, skin conditions, a sex work history, scars, nutritional deficiencies, and etc.

women that are bellow average and thinking that they are hot is mainly a mix of make-up ( the art of make-up increased exponentially in the last 5 years . You can be a 3 and without enough make-up you can look like an 8 )

Old age advice was essentially selling the idea that her attraction is entirely in your control. If one is ever rejected by a girl it just means (and only means) your 'game' wasn't good enough. If you are 75 and obese and the stunning little 19 year old girl rejects you, it's a 'game' issue. Not a looks or age issue or whatever. That would be called a 'limiting belief'. It was always a load of nonsense tbh, but it wasn't until youtube came along, amongst other things, where sharp eyes were slowly able to see that the coaches themselves couldn't achieve this miracle. And people were slowly able to spot patterns over thousands of infields. Namely that pulls were always on the 'yes girls'. Girls who were basically into it at 'hi', and the success was in spite of their routines of whatever. Not because of it. Out of maybe 10,000 infields that have been released, we've basically never seen a pull on a hard 'no girl', despite the fact that for the original PUA model to be true, we should have thousands of them! We should have endless infields...thousands(!) where some very ugly, old guy approaches a 10/10 stunner who ignores him and tells her she has a BF. He says 'how long have you had that problem?!' or 'I've got a gold fish....sorry, I thought we were talking about things that didn't matter' or one of many cheesy PUA lines, then negged her etc etc, and then she starts trying to seduce HIM due to her insane attraction levels lol.

I remember Julien joyfully sharing an infield where he was able to make a clear 'no girl' who was basically ignoring him, say a few words back too him. That was all he got out of her. No lay. No kiss. Nothing. And he clearly thought that was a big acchievment which kind of underline how likely it is that one is actually going to BANG a 'no girl' lol. If we are celebrating getting her to say a few polite words!

Luckily the community has MOSTLY gotten away from that disney thinking, although there are actually still some forums and sub reddits where some unfortunate saps are still hanging onto that idea (Mostly people who are selling coaching of course. So they don't actually believe what they are even saying! There's no integrity when it comes to making lots of money lol)

Nowadays though, most people know that her telling you she has a BF means either 1/ she does have a boyfriend, or 2/She is lying about having one so that you go away since she's not attracted to you, and nothing you can say will change that lol

what is very toxic from my point of view is that in these types of mediums people always put too much emphasis on the technique and never want to acknowledge the elephant in the room, at least to others

what the seduction community I think is ignoring, at least till now, is the mental problems that women have more and more

We all know how OLD is tough for average men but even the ugliest woman can bang a hot guy whenever she chooses to, which does confirm your SMV point.

The big difference is the time required. You can learn “game” in a few months. Improving money/status can take years. The modern gurus need to be honest about how long it actually takes.

Hence why money and status will be a more solid foundation than learning some quick tricks...

But...everyone wants quick solutions thus "learning game " will sell way better.

So while I was " running game" and getting some numbers left and right, mofos were building metaphorical castles and kingdoms.

Now however ( I'm doing house renovations) I work for people who live in cribs that I wouldn't ever be AWARE of about the lifestyle . It's embarrassing and sobering at the same time to realize that the woman "might have " ghosted me for a dude who does have his own kingdom and castle ,while I tried ( and might even succeed) fecking her on the air matrass...

Nowadays I laugh at mafakkas who advocate for running game over the slow steady growth. A tree that grew slow will be WAY stronger than a tree grown for fast consumption...

Realistically speaking a man might need between 15 and 30 (!!!!) years to reach his ultimate peak and ONLY if he consistently puts in the work , without major set backs. Kids( saying this as a father) ,divorce, bankruptcy, addiction, distractions ect are all set backs that might keep man locked into mediocrity for ever...

I'm not projecting I know my evidence is anecdotal, but I've seen it with my own eyes. Nothing redpilled me more than seeing girls go home with a guy from the club(social circle at the time) just to see them in church the next day...it is what it is

I can agree with the premise that "old school" advice was probably more optimistic than reality would dictate. However, I think there is some exaggeration in this thread as to the extent of that optimism (the 75 year old going after the 19 year old example would have never been realistically pitched here or elsewhere except by very delusional people, etc.).

I still think it has its usefulness - especially for the young and/or inexperienced. Sure, a lot of us talking about it right now have been here and in the "game" for quite some time now and we know that a "no girl" doesn't become a "yes girl" just because you check off all the right boxes in game. But game certainly helps, the overall advice is still very sound.
