Can a Man be too independent? Personally I think it's good for a Dude to stay grounded if he has some responsibilities other than himself. It could be in a charitable organization, his faith, a brotherhood group of some kind he contributes to, etc. What are you guy's take on this? How can a Man achieve inner peace and that sense of balance in today's modern world?

I don't quite understand. Are you saying an independent man doesn't do things unless it benefits himself? I don't see how the two things are connected. You can still be highy independent and be a part of charities, support youth groups, etc.

An independent person doesn't rely on others, nor are the controlled by others. They tend to be self reliant and autonomous.

Independence doesn't equate to isolation from other people.

See...I can see where you're coming from because marriage and relationships tends to be a low bargain especially in The West these days, but if you want your civilization to prosper and continue, then preserving the nuclear family and wanting to get married and settle down has to be part of the equation or else get ready for a Muslim and hispanic take over lol.

If you choose to go only after your goals and not bring people to the ride with you, you and I know that it's an empty life. Learn to bring people to the journey as well and stay connected to like you said, your youth groups, support groups and have that sense of Brotherhood where you can share and vent if you need to.

I think you're using the wrong terminology to describe what you're trying to elaborate on in the first post. What you're describing sounds more like self-sufficiency than independence, since being independent means not being controlled or dependent on others, whereas self-sufficiency is about being capable of taking care of yourself and handling your own responsibilities. A self-sufficient man can still have strong relationships, contribute to his community, and take on responsibilities beyond himself.

As for your second point, you should read King, Warrior, Magician, Lover, specifically the King archetype. The basic premise is that a mature man creates order, takes responsibility, protects his realm, and uses his position to benefit others. The King sits between two extremes, the Tyrant, who abuses power to control others, and the Weakling, who gives up his power and responsibility. A healthy King sits between these two: he has authority over his own life while understanding that authority comes with responsibilities such as providing, protecting, mentoring, etc.

You should read it. Don't let other people do the work for you.

Absolutely!!! Express sentiments along the following lines:

"Lyndsay Clancy is incontestably insane... This is the only viable explanation for expending THAT much effort on offing Dawson, Cora, and Callan, rather than simply lacing their fruit juice with the appropriate doses of cyanide. Ship her off to Bridgewater indefinitely"

To all those who get most of their intel from The Manospher/Anti-SJW content creators. Being THAT much of free thinker diminishes a man's popularity among those who pride themselves on "challenging the narrative", faster than questioning the infallibility of The Quaran will get you lashed beyond all repair in Riyadh
