You guys need to ditch the idea that women are super human selectors who can easily get any guy they want.

Ladies settle for guys for the same reason dudes do.

They can't do any better.

And most of the reasons for this have nothing to do with how somebody looks.

They HIDE behind that rationalization. The truth is far less glitzy:

"I'm terrified of my life changing too much, so I choose to remain where I'm at, express my dissatisfaction in passive-aggressive ways + The occasional violent tantrum"

My POV it's that they're actually fine, but not satisfied with their current man.
But they can still have a good lifestyle.

lol…… And the ironic part is those middle class, eat fast food on the weekends, have bbqs on Sundays with the game on after Church, with cookies and junk food in the pantries after playing board games after dinner are the best types of environment to foster and raise children in the most urbanistic loving type of fashion. Sort of like Kevin Arnold from The Wonder Years, living in The Suburbs has its own benefits.

Truly securing freedom(Freedom from our own unhappiness included) requires us to charge through fire, and swim across a sea clogged up with pin worm infested dog sh-t, in order to get it. Thus, most people chose to "settle", then vent their dissatisfaction on social media, so as to avoid discomfort

The sort of women described in The OP (been married for awhile, birthed 2.5 kids by some yutz who makes a decent living, yet is duller than dish water)are generally past the peak of their physical attractiveness, are well aware of this fact + That dating and snagging a partner is going to mean exerting a lot more effort than they did at age 19

That most of these gals choose to remain miserable rather than going that monetary pain, is LESS surprising than learning that, of the few millions who travel to Hollywood each year seeking careers in show business, MOST high tail it back to Paducah or Patterson once they discover how unglamorous the life of an actor/screenwriter/producer/director/editor/stunt man is
