That's a shocking number. I thought it would be more like 80% and it was shocked it was so low. It's really gone downhill. Well it's not as bad as 80%, and 40% is half that amount, which means there is hope. Must be that newest Epstain shocker.

Only in the big blue cities. Everywhere else in the US the stuff going on in the UK wouldn't be tolerated for two seconds. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if many of these women think a place like Paris is a better location for them.

Based on what Ive seen, the poll itself is legitimate. Gallup uses standard scientific sampling methods.
But I wouldn’t rely on it as the sole indicator of anything. It measures preference, not motivations or intentions.
And considering how politically heated 2025 has been as far as Im informed, some responses were likely emotionally charged rather than fully rational.
Still, the trend suggests there is something worth paying attention to.

There is a serious point in here though because just where do these women think they're going to go?

I hear young women (and men) in the UK saying this too but many Western societies have similar problems and, in most cases, the rest of the world is full of really unpleasant places to live. Unless you're super rich and you're going to live a very islolated, protected life. But you can do that in the US or the UK anyway.

The point I'm getting at I suppose is that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

Most likely a "grass is greener" mindset, but most will find out anywhere they go will have problems, many times different and sometimes worse than the US.

Plus having to get to know laws and customs in foreign places and what they are allowed to do/not to do.

For instance, in Germany they have very strict laws regarding "quietness and peace" on Sundays called Ruhetag, to the point people are afraid of doing things like vacuuming, mowing their lawn or anything else that makes noise bcause they can be heavily fined or even arrested for it.
