I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

I don’t think any major city is affordable anymore.
Phoenix was better than many larger cities in terms of affordability for a long time.

Tucson is 2 hours south of Phoenix and the metro area is 1 million people, compared to Phoenix being about 4.5 million people. Tucson is more affordable than Phoenix with lower real estate prices. Salaries are lower there. It's a tough place to date. Tucson is only known as a decent dating spot for university students and retirees. For people in between those phases of life, it's a bad place to try to date. @BPH has had issues with his local college women in Delaware when they find out that he's 31 and post college, so Tucson would not be a solution for him. I could imagine that issue repeating there.

In Texas, spots like Amarillo and Abilene are less expensive than Dallas and Houston. Lubbock has a metro area population of 367,000 and is also more affordable than the big cities. Lubbock would be similar to Tucson for dating as younger dating life in both cities are centered around the larger university.

I think BPH needs to move out and just take the hit personally. Yes, he is saving money, but he is falling behind his competition by staying at home. Money can always be made, but it is hard to catch up with your competition mentally.

I would consider those towns lol.

I have heard that Amarillo, TX is okay for 20 somethings but gets a lot worse for older men. The pool of 30+ women in Amarillo is nearly all single moms.

Abilene is somewhat smaller than Amarillo and likely has a similar trend.

Lubbock has Texas Tech University and some percentage of Texas Tech grads stay in Lubbock after graduation. More Texas Tech grads go to the Texas big cities. I've also heard of Lubbock having a similar scene to Amarillo with the 30+ dating pool getting really bad.

I figure there's a 50/50 chance this ends up being a good idea

The forum seems a little unhappy at the moment, with a lot of complaints about too much theory, not enough real-world experience. It's a slow, quiet day at work, so I want to see what YOU want to know more about.

Whether you have a question about game or women in general, questions about me personally, or just want to know whether I liked the newest Jurassic World movie (it was meh). I'll do my best to answer everything as honestly and thoroughly as I can.

I've got several hours to kill here, so ask away. If there are any lurkers, feel free to make an account even if only to message me privately. I know there are some people who haven't become members because they don't feel they have enough experience to contribute, but I'd be happy to answer those questions as well.

I think Phoenix is probably the least realistic move right now. Yeah, it's around the same price or cheaper than these other places, but only by a few hundred dollars. I understand the price of moving would be significantly higher overall, and that the rent is just one part of that.

I generally like warm, beachy places near the water, and hate congested cities where trash lines the sidewalk. I could probably afford to move out somewhere nearby in Delaware, at least for now, but it wouldn't offer me any real advantages beyond not living with my parents; it wouldn't put me much closer to work, it wouldn't put me much closer to fun, and it would cost me $1,000 - $1,500 extra per month to do so.

Good looks and game.

General self-improvement to attract more interest from more women, then understanding game to capitalize on that interest.

Why not Miami? Certainly there’s something you could do in Miami. Why not apply to jobs now, get something hooked and then look for rentals.

I don't think that Phoenix is a good solution for you right now. It would cost a lot to move out there. There are not a lot of quality jobs there. 2025's job market is worse than usual.

So, you have an overinflated sense of self worth now because you’re finally operating at the level that the rest of society understood from day one: work hard, don’t steal from friends and family, stay out of jail. Then when someone challenges your view your head explodes.

In other words, you’re a textbook narcissist.
I definitely admit I have narcissistic traits.

Mind you, I've been without parents since the age of 13 and basically was raised on the streets eversince. Despite that I still made it out and YES I'm damn proud of that.

Most of my childhood "friends" are dead, in jail , went insane or are om hard drugs. So yes I'm proud.

He should go to Nashville because it is more common to see younger women with older men there.

It couldn't hurt to look. I'd fantasized about quitting my job often, usually after my boss chews me out for not having the foresight to fix a mistake one of my coworkers made, and would end up scouring LinkedIn or Indeed looking for something that would pay me a similar wage as what I'm making now.

The problem there is that it's impossible to filter out all the garbage, because 90% of the postings are commission-based and have their salaries as $0-$1,000,000 to cover the full range, and the other 10% require multiple certifications, references, and experience in a particular field to make ~$50,000/year. Not including the fact that recruiter scammers are a thing, one of which took advantage of my brother when he was unemployed and searching.

Here's a semi-funny, semi-doomer video that I'd watched not long ago that pretty much hits the nail on the head:

Do not quit your job in this shvtty job market lol. Hell, I know plenty of people getting job offers revoked after they put in their two weeks.

What about a job at a golf club bartending and then do other spots in the evening. Can you tend bar? What about wait staff? If you’re as good looking as you claim, and personable, it puts you in a lot of high quality venues and it may open doors for you.

Are there any mainstream Pick up artists out there that you recommend or decent enough to follow? Guys like Mystery, Roosh, David DeAngelo's stuff still relevant?

Next, I would either take ownership of one of the family cars - likely the Prius, but it has 192k miles on it, so it doesn't have a ton of life left in it -
I'm guessing the Prius is a 2nd Gen, 04-09. They'll go 300K miles. 3rd Gen is 2010-15, and it probably wouldn't still be on the road if it was one. They were built defectively, head gasket goes bad. There's a $200 part that can be replaced yearly to prevent blowing the head gasket, if you know about the defect ahead of time.

I got a bartending license several years ago and went to a couple of places: the Newark bars I frequent, the bars down in Dewey Beach, and some other fancier places like Bardea.

Because I had no experience, I was either declined or offered a position as a barback. I've worked as a food runner, but never as a waiter, again, because I didn't have experience waiting.

I hadn't considered places like a gold club, and I'm not saying I couldn't, I'm just saying I went that route and made some attempts that didn't go anywhere. The bartenders at the college spots are the same ones as when I was going to school there - they don't want to give up the money.

No.

I went through an initial phase where I tried to acquire as much knowledge as possible before making moves in real life. I read Book of Pook, watched a bunch of episodes of Keys to the VIP, and discovered more underground guys like Good Looking Loser, Boy Toy Story, and Strength By Sonny.

It's hard to recommend anybody because it's so easy to fake this stuff...I mean, look how many people read my own LRs and don't believe me.

I'd be following some of these gurus, and I'd later find out that the girls in their videos are hired models and actresses who are just helping them sell some course or boot camp. Others will post infields of them getting a girl's number by walking around with a dog or something - numbers mean next to nothing - I got a handful of numbers this past weekend, and so far nothing's become of them.

If you're asking whose material I suggest reading/watching, there isn't anybody. My suggestion is to go out into the real world, find out what works best for you through trial and error.

I'm guessing the Prius is a 2nd Gen, 04-09. They'll go 300K miles. 3rd Gen is 2010-15, and it probably wouldn't still be on the road if it was one. They were built defectively, head gasket goes bad. It's a 2006. I recently had to replace the whole muffler because it literally snapped in half. It's got one of those red exclamation mark "problem" indicators that goes away after driving for a minute or two. Properly diagnosing it requires us to take it to Toyota World, and fixing it would probably cost more than the car is worth.

So at this point, we're just seeing how long it's got left.
