Back in the day, most 62 year old men would already be married.... or be pressured to be married AND stay married and faithful. Now, with more divorces and the "hookup" culture, more older men will be in relationships with younger women. Where does this leave the older woman?

Society is changing.,... Like it always have.... IMHO, this will not be good for partner-less women who are in their late 30's and above.

I like money but will never degrade myself and sleep with someone I don’t love to attain it. My husbands mother is money crazy and is in a miserable marriage to keep it, she’s only happy when they are on holiday as it’s an escape from her real life.

You seriously have to question a 62 year old who romantically pursues someone who is 18 years old ( when they met) .... mentally you aren't even fully developed at that age.... also keep in mind she was in a notoriously difficult low paid job (waitressing) and came from a rough neighbourhood....it comes off as predatory and opportunistic on his part ....then when his attitude towards monogamy

Don't you worry about the Older Women,they can easily find a Guy,In this Country where the gender odds are pretty evenly balanced,even an Elderly Lady in her Seventies can easily find a Man...In reality they just aren't interested prefer their Kids or Yappy Lap Dogs.

I'm not sure about that. Older men might "date" someone their own age, but It usually is for sex. That's about it. Not the type of commitment that a longterm relationships would entail. I think that is what a lot of women are after. The type of longterm relationship that comes with being married young; doing things together, overcoming life's obstacles as a team, etc. There are expectations in longterm relationships that marriage entails which two older people who have just met cannot really replicate OR at least very hard to replicate. A woman in their 70's isn't going to bond very well with a man in his 70's. I agree, she would probably prefer her grandkids or pet dog. However, in the back of her mind, she will probably still miss that "closeness" that she can no longer engender because of her age. They say love is like a drug. Once you do it enough times, you can never get that initial feeling back. You keep on chasing the dragon. It's a form of baggage that older women have. IMHO, that is why men throughout history want young "pure women" even if they don't know why consciously. Pair bonding with younger women is easier (no baggage or very few). This bonding goes both ways.

Men may launch wars and climb mountains for a young attractive woman. Men in general will NOT do that for a seventy year old woman. This is just how men are built. Now, will men date or "get into a relationship" with an older woman for sex? Of course. However, it will be hard for him to bond with her. This is how guys are built. However, if a man had a relationship with a younger attractive woman, most men will bond with her to the point that as she gets older and loses her looks, he will still find her attractive (i.e., wife goggles). This is just how guys are built. This is how nature has conditioned us to be.

While the number of men and women are equally balanced; it takes only a few men to go their own way to really skew the numbers. So yeah, more and more older women will be unhappy.... even if they later get into "relationships".

It does, but not as loudly as it used to. The man in question is not just some regular "well to do" professional type with a six figure salary and a nice car. He is literally a multimillionaire. And the woman in question is not a supermodel. She is a 7, maybe 7.5.

So what's the moral of the story? If you are an old dude who is in the top 0.001% wealth bracket, yes you can get a young kinda cute girl from a poor immigrant background who will see you as a ticket to better life. In a less affluent country, you wouldn't have to be nearly as rich to get same result.
