This is only my opinion but i think causal sex and hookups will never make you feel good. It's short term highs like taking drugs. Men are much happier in stable relationships.

For women it’s not something empowering but degrading to an extent that they will face a ton of long term problems, At the end of the day they will probably be single until they die. It's not how humans should live, nobody is happy when they only have casual sex.

There's always that one person spouting pseudo-science claiming that "humans aren't monogamous" despite having zero credible evidence.

How you feel about something depends on your convictions. If a man and a women don't have deep personal feelings for one another, but feel a physical attraction, then causal sex will not violate their emotional expectations.

I think in most cases you are right. The hookup culture is promoted by the powers that be and it is destroying people's psyches.

I suspect that humans were probably a combination of monogamous and non-monogamous when living as animals; they probably pair bonded and had affairs.

Humans have also shifted the degree in which monogamy was practiced through history. During more civilized times, people were more monogamous, and during de-civilized times less monogamous.

Not that much. Most don't cook and clean any better than we do. Having a stable girlfriend/wife allows you to bring a woman to more social functions and not be the awkward 3rd/5th wheel. However, most of those social functions are boring and you don't miss a lot by skipping them anyway. Plus, with the pandemic, there are fewer of those social functions anyway.

OP, I agree with you overall. My experiences are purely anecdotal, but I find that spinning plates is a lot of fun for about 6-7 months in any given time and I begin to feel sort of numb to it. Casual sex is easy but it gets monotonous and the “rush” of banging a new woman loses its excitement for me fairly quickly. On the other hand, I think the overall positive feeling from an LTR that is going well outweighs spinning plates.

The problem of course - as others have already pointed out - is that that positive vibe from an LTR is also temporary. Add into that that the fallout from LTR can set you back emotionally in far greater a magnitude than a plate and I can see how it becomes a toss up. So far, it seems to be when, not if, a LTR goes bad. I hope to be proven wrong by this someday.

Bottom line: I agree with you: but also see why many DJs would simply prefer to spin plates.

There are spiritual dynamics so the risk of a potential possession attempt or harassment by a hors demons is reason enough to back away from them for now.
