Inspired by this thread, I went to a local joint last night who I know are hiring weekend staff. Put my CV in this morning. Just been offered trial shift on Saturday. Supplementary income and paid socialising, here we come.

Dont you guys realize the girls at the clubs are the SAME ones at the gym the mall the coffee shop the hiking trail etc. Women are social as fuk and even the good ones go out to downtown nightlife venues. You are ignorant if you think otherwise. Yeah theres the trash thats out every weekend of course, but the rest are just the regular girls you see everyday.

meh. nightlife world is BORING. you really enjoy being surrounded by demons and scum just to "get paid" some chump ass change. no offense but bouncers dont make chit, are easily replaced and get fked up in fights or end up getting stomped out/stabbed/whatever. nightclub managers are the greasiest mofos you will meet and the dj is usually the most down to earth.

dont be the sperry wearing phaggot screaming in a shirt, dont be the sleazy manager banging drugged up sloots, dont be the tough guy bouncer whos fate is getting fked up eventually..and dont be a soulless club drone or thinks going out and being in the nightlife scene is the end all be all of the world. realize its hollow and scummy and keep your distance from places of the devils work. the crazy chit ive seen managing strip clubs and working as a promoter for events and nightclubs is the stuff you dont wanna deal with.

getting robbed at gunpoint and blown away with a 12 guage shotty isnt worth it. being framed for rape is not a walk in the park. extortion from gangs and criminals and dealing with violent drunks nightly will JADE the fuk out of you and slowly drain your soul. trust me bros its not glamour it aint glitzy. Its not bad to be exposed to the dark underbelly of society so that you can realize whats going on behind the scenes. but i wouldnt recommend it as a career option. do it for a bit to stack some chips, and then bugout when you can fly more legit working for yourself or for a reputable business thats doing something positive.

your better off staying in more wholesome environments or chill upper class lounges rubbing elbows with the "civilized"..especially with how ratchet our instagram society has gotten.

Thats my opinion you can take it or leave it. Yeah there is alot of oppurtunity out there but be willing to realize what you are sacrificing to be in that scene. you can heed my warning or find out for yourself.

While it may sound like a movie, sadly a lot of what you said is true. I think that this is why you wanna stick to lounges or higher end places (another reason I don't go downtown anymore cause of how trashy it has become)

I had a buddy who use to be a bouncer and he hated it, the ironic part is when we would go out he would act just like that. It's truly something to behold seeing people act drunk or high and your completely sober and in control

I was a bouncer in several high end and popular Philly clubs about a decade ago. Unfortunately I didn't do very well with club sloots. A dorky bouncer is still dorky!

I did meet an incredible assortment of people though. People far more powerful and connected than my equally dorky friends. THAT was were I got value from my experience! I have been able to parlay these connects for years since.

I think this is what it comes down to. @cola makes some good points, but just because you put a guy around women all day, that doesn't mean any of the women will be attracted to him.

If the bouncer has decent looks, a good personality, and dresses like he has his financial house in order.....he can pull women in the bar, the club, the gas station, online, or anywhere women are.
