Some people who indulge in porn and masturbation frequently can experience porn-induced erectile dysfunction, which is basically accustoming your brain to higher and higher doses of dopamine rushes by watching more extreme pornographic content more often. You literally can watch a new vid or see a new woman naked with the swipe of a finger. Eventually your brain becomes conditioned to being exposed to new content rapidly and builds a tolerance in order to reach those previous dopamine "highs". So when it comes down to a real woman and real sex, it is a vanilla experience to your brain (compared to the porn) and can problems getting or staying aroused.

I don't believe it effects your choice of women but I do believe it can negatively impact a relationship if your tool ain't working at its maximum potential.

I'm glad I read this thread. I have basically had ED since I was sexually active. I would sit around and not be able to get it hard, until randomly it would work when it wanted to. I always attributed this to anxiety, but after reading this, I think it might have been the porn I watched since I was 11.

I solved the ED problem by accident when I started doing LSD when I was 21. But then when I stopped, the problem came back so I started using Viagra. Then, last October I got a silicone girth injection and Viagra worked a few times after, but then stopped working. I'm not sure if I grew tolerant to the Viagra, or if the silicone injection messed me up. So then I had to get a penile implant which is a device that allows you to pump your **** full of salt water and it gets hard for as long as you want it.

That video shows how porn can caused porn-induced erectile dysfunction. Which is a real thing. I had it, and my ability to get and maintain erections improved significantly when I cut down my use of porn.

I'm not anti-porn or anti-masturbation, but I've personally experienced poor erection quality due to frequent porn use... I don't get performance anxiety (even mentally) and my body chemistry is fine... porn-induced erectile dysfunction was the only possibility, i confirmed it when I laid off the porn for awhile and my ED reversed itself eventually..

My point I guess is this thread is about potential consequences of porn use and I think ED is important to mention as a lot of men aren't aware that their porn use may be causing it
