I have realized you don't need to get the number to get a date. I have even stopped asked for the number. If she is interested, she will provide it afterwards.
Talk to her a bit, build rapport, then set a date. Anything other than a yes or a suggestion for an alternative.... is a NO!

That whole contact me on FB Messenger was a big red flag. As in she put up another barrier. Now she just wants to focus on her business, get you as an orbiter, and only see her boyfriend while getting attention from you that said boyfriend doesn't provide.

Forget the number. The meetup is the goal. Message her again, make plans to see each other. You'll quickly know after the first date if she's interested.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
