Yes they loved Fabio. The romance writers group would have an event every few months and bring in some guy that was on the cover of the romance books. Most of these romance writer women were well off with rich husbands. Most were fat and middle aged. They would be as giddy as a school girl chatting with these guests. It was sickening really. I liked going to the parties because they had great food and an open bar. My ex wife read romance novels constantly.

You want to watch an alleged environmentalist head explode? Get them talking about animals and how some animals near extinction. Bonus points if you can get them to admit that private property should be seized by the government to help these poor creatures so they don't become extinct.

Then carefully explain how there's a hunting area in Texas, where they specifically raise endangered species so people can hunt and eat them. And because the private property owner is economically incentivized to MAKE MORE of the "endangered" species, just so people pay money to kill them, there are MORE ON EARTH than there otherwise would be, thereby saving them from their endangered status.

If you get them to really, really commit that they REALLY CARE about these animals going extinct, watch them try denounce this proven solution to the problem they just defined they'd do anything to solve.
