"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Well if you already said you would call then yeah go with that. I think just be friendly; give the impression that you're really happy. There's not really much I could say at this stage butpost how the conversation went.

Well so I called and she tells me straight away if she can call in 30 mins. I say no I gotta be somewhere so make it quick. Shes like my friend xyz is here I can't talk. I tell her to go outside so she does and tells me that she made a mistake on Sunday etc etc and wasn't thinking straight. Said her sister likes me and supports the fact that I'm a cool guy and so wants to get back. I go we ended on Sunday so I don't know what I'm feeling like tbh. I'm kinda over you. She asks if I'm with me ex and I say lol Na just friends. She's going on about something so I tell her I need to go but I'd like to continue the convo over a coffee. She was quick to agree and asked about this Sunday which I refused and said next Sunday. She asks if I'm going to call her later and I tell her I'm really busy these few weeks so I'll just see her in a few weeks. She says surely you can call me inberween somewhere I just ignore that and tell her to tell me when she's booked her ticked to come to my place.

She asks again if I'm with my ex and I laugh and tell her that does she not want to see me next Sunday? Tell her to leave out the emotions and we'll just chill. Tell her I gotta go now and I'll see her in two weeks.

That's it. lol

Anyways it's funny how just 3 days have made me feel so much more better. I feel like tw year with her were like a burden. After talking to her today I don't feel the same. I don't want to unblock her iMessage. I can't be asked to read her messages or anticipate them. I don't want to get back in to that.

Maybe that's just an indicator that this relationship isn't good for me? Nonetheless I'm Gna try to make the most of this

I wouldn't say it wasn't good for you. I think you were probably putting in more than you were getting out of it. Same thing happened to me. After I moved out she was all lovey dovy again.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
