I have been on match for some time..(by the way, you helped me a lot in understanding how to actually play it on match)
After I read some many comment about how cool myspeace is I decided to try.
And it is so different from any pay site! Probably around 60-80% of women there appear as AW: they have like 40-100 male friends added, they dont talking about dating... mainly they just express themself with long list of what they like in music.
When I contact them - they add me as a friend but appear very uninterested in flirting, they seem interested in just collecting friends. They are not even in dating mode...it seem they cannot get why a guy is wrting to them.

How do you game them? What is the specific of myspace?

There are fake profiles out there. The obvious ones say something like "Come see more pictures of me at www.webcamsxxx.com" or something similar.

The ones that are suspicious usually have:
- One single photo of an unusually attractive woman, often a glamour shot.
- Very broad or no requirements...such as height 3'0" to 7'11" and age 18-47. Women who are serious about meeting people are going to have tighter standards. A fake will market "herself" to a larger demographic.
- Too sexual of content: "I'm very lonely and looking to meet some fun guys". Yeah right, HB10 is sitting in front of her computer waiting for some action.

I went through yahoo a few days ago and found maybe 4 out of 300 profiles that were obvious fakes. Match seems to be about the same. I saw one on there where she mentioned some website four times. Obviouslly a marketing ploy. The fakes are pretty easy to detect.

Guys,

if you want to meet REAL women who are not COWS, the only sites that are worth seeing are hotornot.com and myspace.com.

The problem with match, yahoo, and the rest is that they are dating sites, specifically meant to hook people up. All you gotta do is put up a pic and a few words...and voila, someone is emailing you.

Since it is so easy that the laziest of the lazy could do it, who do you think will do it the most?

Answer: lazy, fat cow women.

Hotornot is not a dating site. There is a meet me option that is streamlined and secure, so that the only people that can contact you are people you have already ok'd beforehand. This is great, because no fatties can bug you. ALso, fat people tend to stay away because they think they'll be rated(and they know they'll get 1s down the board).

Myspace is ...I don't know what it is: An internet bragging site. Personally I think its crap, for many reasons(its too juvenile, its vain, the women seem to be in control there, yadda yadda yadda) and I avoid. But if you got good abs and live in the SoCal area you can definitely hook up a nice hot fine 18 year old druggy for a night or two.

Either one is better than sifting through fat chicks to find non-existant healthy ones.

i recently spent a grand total of two hours just adding "friends", hot chicks within 20 miles of my zip, 22-28 y/o. i added 280 so far. from that, i got 10 good leads. i challenge ANYONE to get 10 good leads with two hours of time spent. it's damn efficient.

all ten contacted me after i just added them (without any initial email from me, i just added them). they loved my profile. from that, 2 i have already met, and overall, i would consider both HB8's. 3 more i will meet this week.

of the 10, 5 are "A-Leads" and 5 are "B-Leads". the former, i would consider "hot" and definitely meet my criteria. the other 5--who knows, but i'll work on them a little and get a better feel.

so right now, i've pretty much got my plate full from myspace activities. put it to you this way...i have to budget my time to talk to and/or see these chicks.

i got three STALKERS out of it too, lol. one has sent me 8 long passive aggressive emails, and i never once replied back! RUN!

i'm not counting a good 20 other chicks who contacted me cold who are my age. i've just ignored them since i am completely disinterested in chicks my age--don't care who they are.

I'm curious as to why you do not even consider dating women your own age. I'm not judging you at all - I'm just curious because most early twentysomethings are just vapid morons.

I'm guessing that most 36somethings are too - the only difference being that their boobs have felt the effects of gravity for too long.

chicks my age suck. most want an eharmony dude to drag down. not worth the time and effort for me personally. plus i want kids at some point. the math doesn't work.

true, many 20 somethings are flakes, but there are a lot of quality ones out there. why go for a 35 year old when it's just as "easy" to go for a 25 year old, perhaps easier?

To get all ten contacted you back at THAT site you have to have a near perfect profile and a killer pic.
I am guessing at myspace chicks pay even more attention to pics... you dont show your abs, do you? and you arenot a model?
What do your pics look like?

(now i'm waiting for some punk to come here and bad mouth my pic)

not a model, but i'm a good looking dude :) this is the exact same pic as on myspace. that's all of the face they see--no more pics of my mug on myspace or anywhere else for that matter. it's sufficiently vague to protect my identity, for other reasons. chicks dig the pic because it's intriguing, as is my profile. there are comments on my page saying exactly that, from hot ass honey's.

the chicks i'm looking for are the ones that read my profile, which is very carefully crafted. i am only interested in chicks that get my humor and sarcasm, or that "get it" in general.

very few have asked for additional pics--not one in this round. believe it or not, this has given me a lot more faith in women! the really hot, smart ones, who have their act together aren't as superficial as you would think. quite the contrary.

but again, i strongly suspect that these mid-twenties chicks are contacting me because they are looking for an older guy (30's) who has act together, AND who dig my style. i'm just hitting my "market"--the sweet spot as they say in business.

10 contacting me back out of about 300 is 3%. it ain't that great. if i wrote each a personal note, the percent would no doubt go up. but i don't have the time to do that. but the ones that contacted me are damn good leads. like i said, 5 "A's" and 5 "B's" and a bunch o' garbage that i'm not even counting.

I'll play "the punk": the pic is very creative, simple but creative. I'll steal the idea :) And sure women would be intrigued...Very nice job!

I guess 3% if very decent for this approach especially if you take into account the quality.

I noticed that on every womans profile I see they say that they have been in several committed relationships. Is that their way of saying that they are desireable? Also, I have never been in a relationship - what should I put down on my profile?

I've had mixed results so far using match.

Maybe it's my location (FL,) but I've found that the quality of physical attractiveness of the women produced in my search results is actually quite good, overall.

I do have one horror story, where the girl's photo was clearly, upon meeting her, NOT her (the woman in the photo was slender with a cute face. The woman I met was stocky with a big nose. The lesson there? NEVER accept one picture.)

I did, however, recently meet one exceptional woman from match, who's beautiful, energetic, sweet, and funny. We're both busy--no doubt her reason for trying match, as she'd have no trouble getting dates--but we've gone out a couple of times and have a nice rapport with each other.

Still, I probably won't renew.

I'd have to agree that free sites like myspace will get you far more bang for your buck.

Pun fully intended.

Absolutely. Older women even ask - you are single or.. divorced? If you are divorced they take it as you are more desirable.
Hmm.. it is much better to say you have been in.

It appears you had some decent experience with match though (?) Have you tried myspace? I did, and it worked nothing like match, i.e. didn't work for me at all....so it all depends what you have to offer.
Myspace would require to show of with what you got more than match. But it seems myspace have hotter women.

so i get a message from match.com indicating that my photo, my nice artistic, half-face shot that gets a lot of interest, is not "appropriate". i put the freebe profile up a while back just to mess around. so, screw you match.com.

got the same thing from yahoo a while back, rejected profile due to the pic. soooo...screw you yahoo!

with myspace, and 23 million users and growing, and free, and you have free reign to do whatever you want, say whatever you want, without the canned-forced "about me questions", completely customize your pages, and way more hotties, who are less desperate than the eharmony fuglies, why bother with these lame "dating" sites?

myspace is where it's at guys. it was official before, and now it's written in stone--i ain't paying for any "dating" web site.

Myspace is a joke-- an attention wh0re's paradise. Put up your free profile and prepare to wait in line with every other doosh-bag who spends their day symping every ho within a 75 mile radius. There is no control and no regulation whatsoever on sights like myspace and craigslist. Not to mention the fact that there are 500 guys to every chick. I can't see how you can muster the time or patience for that bullsh1t.

TooCold, your pic was rejected because it is illusory. Not saying that you're trying to mislead anyone, but it gives no representation as to your actual appearance. Match is very clear in their rules for your primary pic-- it cannot be anything that vague. I'm sure they would let you use it as a supplemental pic, just not the primary one.

Just as an aside, I read your profile before the link was removed. I don't say this to start any more sh1t with you, but my impression is that it comes off as a bit pretentious and undeniably condescending. You mentioned how you use it to showcase your sense of humor, but as far as I can see it comes off as completely humorLESS, if anything. Although I do see how this could attract some women, I imagine they would be the opposite of what you're looking for. Again, I'm not trying to pick a fight, just an observation.
