Disclaim: this is stolen (well, "borrowed") straight off another post. Saw it this morning somewhere & had to post cos it's relevant to my current situation.
Your success in life, as a person, whatever, is not related to the success of your relationship. Do not judge yourself harshly if your girlfriend calls it a day, if your last date doesn't return your calls, whatever.
There are always other factors which influence on your relationship.
For example, her friend may have just split up with her BF and they've decided to be miserable together. Or she has decided that she doesn't want a serious relationship for some reason, and finds herself falling in love with you, so she splits. Perhaps she's decided she doesn't like you because you're too popular, or not fat enough. Or it's Tuesday. Who knows? They're fscking women. No point trying to guess.
There you sit, blaming yourself for it not working out... bull! Don't let this get to you - you are successful in life because of who you are, not who your girl is/was/will be.
