"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

long long story. I am with a girl. she has had previous boyfriends. I have hooked up with... lots of girls...

I am a sophomore in college. She is a freshman. I am the first person she has ever truely been in love with. She is the first person I have ever been truely in love with.

she keeps dropping subtle hints of how happy she would be if one day we were married. Honestly, I feel the same way.

my question is:

since we are comparatively young, are these feeling due to being naive? Are they due to us being in love with someone for the first time? or is this truely something worth considering, being that something like this may never come again?

I admit I am probably fairly naive as to love. and her being young as well, I would say the same for her.

so what are your thoughts?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

How long have you two been together? That should answer the question.

How about finishing school and settling into a cushy career first?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Whether it's because of love or because the two of you are naive doesn't really matter if you're willing to experience whatever it is there is to experience with her even if it turns out to be filled with pain and heartache.

Are you willing to face failure in this relationship? If you are, then go forth and dive into marriage if that's what you were planning for. If you fear losing it all and cannot imagine yourself being able to handle all the pain and hurt, then I strongly suggest you take a step back and reflect a little deeper as to whether you feel it reasonable to be going so fast with this girl.

Bottom line though, just be strong enough to face whatever might happen. Being hurt is a common experience. It's something most of us should face just for the experience. Just don't come out of it being a sad fvck that isn't gonna screw other girls because that first one was the only one even though she's screwing some other dude now. Go ahead and hurt, but also learn to let go.

If everything turns out fine, then good for you. There's nothing else to say to that really.

yeah man. thats exactly how I feel. I feel that Im deeply in love with her, and that it could result in marriage. I also feel like experiences are what shape you, and that even bad experiences are meant to happen. I dont fear being hurt. If it happens, it happens.

People my age are getting married all of the time, and honestly, its kind of scary... because basically I feel as if all of the marriage material is being taken lol. I will marry a virgin... and those are sooooooo hard to find these days.

my friends and I did a calculation, and I would only even CONSIDER dating .05% (based on several factors that cant be changed, including looks, virginity, and a few personality traits) of every girl I come across. that negates how we get along, etc... so I feel that this girl is pretty special.

lololol

And why would you need to marry her? What's the benefit of marriage that you don't already have now? You think marriage will make you love her more? Marriage for you at your age is way too complicated. Marriage isn't just about love, it's about a whole nuther set of things you have to deal with, legally and financially. You don't need marriage now. Stop thinking about it. Unless you can give me 5 reasons why you SHOULD get married NOW!
