Dont waste your energy trying to understand women. These are the same people who look disgusted when you spit into the grass and yet are happy to drink that same spit during a kiss. They go mad if you use their toothbrush by mistake, but are happy to brush their teeth with your deek. Go figure
Translating this into dating dynamics, you shouldn't get involved with a woman unless she already idolizes you and will give you a free pass on anything.
In the movie Casino, the character of Ace did everything he could to make Ginger happy. But Ace just couldn't win her love no matter what he did. He was stuck in a "d@mned if you do, d@mned if you don't" situation.
Conversely, Ginger's former pimp boyfriend mistreated her and yet she was in love with him.
The character Ace made the mistake of fighting a battle that he couldn't win no matter what he did. He should never have gotten involved with her.
That's my interpretation of this thread.
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
