The point I was making is I get annoyed when I hear "Like attracts like.". That's how it SHOULD work in theory, but it doesn't happen that way in reality.

BOTH men and women want a "deal" or "sale.". They want that $700 flatscreen television for say $500. It's the same with looks. You might want to get someone who is a 9, but you try to obtain them "on sale" using your own looks (your "currency") that has a value of say 7 or 8.

But men only primarily demand looks, while women demand looks, personality, and economic success from men. Like Mike said, women are just as guilty about wanting a man that is better looking than they are. On top of that better personality and more economically successful than she is.

But none of that is even really the point. Having options is the point. The point is anyone can want anything, but women have more options. They CAN get a man that's better looking, better personality and wealthier than they are. So your fat, not so attractive, no personality girl can get something better than her and will not go for a man at her level let alone below it. That's the point. Men wanting a hot woman is nothing more than an unmet want if most women don't want them and most men can't get them. Probably every homeless person wants a million dollars, but that's little threat to others pursuing their million.

lol at this, first, globally (all age groups) there are more females than males. Check wiki, the ratio at birth varies within countries, and some policies like killing females, make much more males than females at birth, and China for instance will affect the global statistics of course.

In your countries the ratio will be pretty close to 1. And even if it was 105 to 100, in your current age group, are you telling me you are one of the 5 lower guys?

Evolution doesn´t work that way, if that was the case every guy in the world would be super alpha. Being beta, and working in teams it works as good or better than being a lonely alpha, there are multiple personality traits that can spread your genes, hence the large diversity of personalities.
