So i took almost a month off working out and exercise over Xmas cause of traveling and what not. I work out around 5 times a week, and for the past year or two i haven't gained a pound or two over 160 and when i do it goes back to 160 in the next couple weeks. Now i seem to be hanging around 165-166 since the end of my break

The thing here is it by the end of my break, i gained 5-6 lbs and it's not like i started to get a belly. In fact my abs were more defined than before, my chest was noticeably larger, and same for my arms.

Anyone know whats up with this? Usually I'd just start getting an extra layer to my belly.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

I thought I read somewhere once that you can't go more than about 3 weeks (even with good nutrition) without working out before you start to lose muscle mass.

I doubt it is extra muscle.

Check how your first workout goes compared to the last one...

If you manage to lift more compared to last time, then it is probably muscle.

But if you can't lift any more, it's not.

Well i definitely wasn't able to lift more once i got back to the gym, but i didn't have to go down in weight either, So if it wasn't muscle mass I'm trying to figure it out, did i just get more fat or something in those areas? this whole thing seems odd

Not really that odd if you consider you were training 5 days a week for a year or two. The break probably let your body fully repair and recover and you more than likely did put on a bit more mass. Strength gains wouldn't happen, but a full repair of your tissues would lend itself to the size increase.

First thing I thought. Try spreading out your 5 day routine over two weeks instead of one.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
