"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

C'mon Eternal you can't be serious. Does it seem right that mods can close a thread after posting in it what he doesn't like about it however the rest of us can only convey our views behind the curtain of a PM?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I don't find it right, but I'd rather things be talked about through PM than have someone dragged around on this site.

This is also why I try to just keep with "Thread Closed" as the reply to a thread. :p

Wow, I've actually been called a loser, whoa.... I guess cutting down to meeting face to face only one woman from the net each week has dropped my DJ status. It doesn't matter that I still go out with women I meet in stores, in clubs, on my bike or where ever. And I though all this time that the sign of a good DJ is his ability to sarge women in any situation. Oh well, you live and learn...

And if Allen is smart you won't be a Moderator for long. Your attitude sucks. You are going to drive people away from this site.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I'm judging on what I'm seeing, Vincent, and you're being an A$$. If you drive people away from this site, it costs Allen money...so yeah, he isn't going to want that.

Rather than be so against online dating sites, why don't those of you who think it's stupid give it a try first and develop techniques especially for meeting women this way? I know A LOT of very attractive men and women who use online dating sites to meet people because they're too busy, don't want to hang out in bars or live in an area where they aren't able to meet new people. With the online sites, you can find people in neighboring towns or even in a place you're planning on visiting. It's also a GREAT tool to meet people for those who have a hard time approaching complete strangers because if they are on the site, you already know they're looking.

If dating sites are used to meet people in person, then it's a wonderful tool. If it's used to only form online friendships, it's a waste of time.

Whatever the case, the subject is an important one and censoring it is, well, petty and stupid.

Vincent,

It truly was not my intention to drag your name through the mud. I just thought it was unfair that you closed a thread that you have yet to provide a good justification of, other than the fact that you think I'm a loser.

I know that as an 18 year old, with your whole life ahead of you, you cannot see the benefit of online dating. I think in time that may or may not change. All I can tell you is that I have had some really great dates/sex/friends whatever from online dating. I would say that my online experience has increased my circle of influence considerably. For instance last weekend I was able to take a date of mine to an exclusive opening of a new restaurant because of a friend I had met years ago online.

However, it has very little to do with online dating, and all to do with the randomness of it all. What if you are really burned by a redhead, and you decide that redheads are ****e. Does that mean you will close any thread that deals with redheads? Nutty move in my opinion, I love redheads. I also have spent the time and effort to become better at online dating as well. It has been time and effort well spent. I have met some really quality women, and made some great friends.

Let me ask you this Victor. If I could show you how to take the internet and with very little effort on your part, and most of the effort upon the part of the ladies, find a really attractive girl, a 8.5-9+, who is a blast to be around, not a nutter, all around great girl. Would that be worth your time? If this girl really was that great, how long would it matter to you that you found her on the internet as opposed to at a club or bar? Maybe rather than slamming what you obviously have no experience in, you'd be better served realizing it's just another venue for meeting women, and turning it to your own advantage. I've probably been on dates with 100+ women from the internet. Had 300+ interactions with them. I've learned a few things along the way. I've also probably dated 200+ women from the "real world". I was a bartender, I had no shortage of available women. I'm not saying this to brag. I'm just saying that I can guarantee you that my experience runs MUCH deeper than yours in this area. And probably in every area of women period. Rather than call me a loser, you might be better served trying to find out how I could help you score a 9+ girl with little effort on your part. I assure you it's not easy, but is doable if you're willing to do the work.

PM me if you'd like to take this offline, as I truly am not interested in a slam session. Just feel I had to object to the apparent randomness and bias of your objections and closing of the discussed thread.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Well, what some here fail to realize is that when women grow up they stop hanging out at bars and aren't always easy to find. There is nothing wrong with finding dates online...and there are a heck of a lot more potential dates to choose from. Of course, if you still want to go hang around bars with the 21-25 year olds when you're 30-35 years old and looking for a woman with her head on her shoulders...good luck. You'll find the women with the most problems in bars. If that's what he wants, then all the more power to him.

Vincent was selected to do a job because he was felt like the best person for it. No matter how much you want to complain, only Allen can make the final choice unless Vinny steps down. Also, how does Vincent being like this keep money from going to Allen? Allen gets paid by the sponser, not by the member. Get things straight.

This is why there are these things called PM's. Use them people.

Well then, wouldn't online dating be something more suited for mature men (which I could care less about)?

I have always been under the impression that the sponsors pay based on how many people their advertising reaches.

My point is that Vincent is not being a good moderator at the moment and regarding this particular issue. To be a good moderator you must not react in an emotional way. To delete topics because you "don't like them" is an emotional reaction. Those who wish to discuss that topic are furious, as has been demonstrated here. When members feel that they are being censored and that their views are not welcome, they leave and take their patronage elsewhere. Using internet dating sites is NOT a topic that should cause such an uproar. If used properly, the internet is THE best place to meet new people, especially if you don't want to date people who hang out in bars. That happens as you get older...and shutting down the best way for the 30+ year old members to find available women is totally inappropriate.

A moderator "showing their a$$" by acting all Godly and running their mouth because they have a little bit of power IS grounds for firing their arse. If one cannot be impartial and fair, they have no business wielding power over a "delete" button.

I think you are forgetting Wyld, that moderators are humans too. I know I'm winning that whole "who's the worst mod" poll, but I'm gonna keep doing things my way. So is Vincent. Same with Gio, Paradox, Sammo, Von Neuen, prosemont, Ashlee Angel, diablo, Brazilian_Blues_Boy, The Antichrist_Star and any future moderator.

Modding is a judgement call. This means people are always going to be pissed at one of us (or in this case, three of us.) Nothing new.

If you feel Vincent is bad, say it in the poll in Anything Else.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Yes, online dating is the BEST way for men over 30 to meet the higher quality women they usually prefer. However, it's also very useful for the 18-20 age for young guys who are too young to get into bars but who aren't in college. Just because YOU don't care about whether or not other people beside yourself are able to find people in their areas doesn't give you the right to deny the discussion of other methods they find useful. This is not "SoVincent", afterall. Learn some tolerance and consideration for others.

I'm not one to speak by voting. I lay it right out there...that's how I have always been and will always be. Yes, moderation is a judgement call. I used to administer a very volatile forum where feminists and anti-feminists used to tear each other to shreds. I know how difficult a job it is to moderate. I know you get angry and frustrated and that it's very tempting to just hit the delete button at times like that.

My point is that you guys are WRONG to delete threads about Online dating sites. The phenomenon of online dating is HUGE and it's only going to get better. More and more singles join these sites EVERY day. It's in poor judgement to discourage members here from utilizing those sites. There are some sites that hold these huge "Speed Dating" events where hundreds and hundreds of singles meet at one place in a city and meet people from the site. What a PERFECT place for a guy from here to go to practice approaching women and getting numbers! These sites are a virtual treasure trove of singles...if you use them properly. It's really a shame that there isn't an "Online Dating Bootcamp" or something, because online dating IS the future, whether some of you like it or not.

As there are about pretty much every other topic. Your point is? I assume you're not meaning that there is nothing new to talk about in online dating. As "Should I tell this girl i met this past week that I like her" has so many new and interesting possibilities to explore.
