"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Over the the last 2 weeks, ive had these 2 what the **** moments. One was tonight and the other was in a strip club last week.

tonight: I met a girl and she was being *****y after I complimented her. So i decided to stay in and see if I could pull it around by plowing. Got her to settle down and we started talking. turns out shes rich, like me. She started asking me why I don't have a job(inheritance) and started telling me that hse works because it makes her feel good and stormed off.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Well, you can never really know how a woman is going to respond to something. But possibly a bigger issue: You don't have a job because you don't need money, that's fine, but what do you do with your life? You should probably have a better answer lined up, because maybe it sounds to her like you just do nothing all the time.

I second what Rhythmic said. You have money and that's cool, definitely helps with your status, but I suppose your answer displays a lack of a driving force in your life. Even if you don't work for money, you could found some kind of charity/start a new venture for fun/do anything that motivates you.
