@BlueAlpha1 Good responses.
1. So you see the way Europe does it right? With the government controlling a lot more than in capitalism, so the further we move towards socialism, the sooner we get automated. Europe has an absurd length of paid vacation and paternity leave for as long as maternity leaves her in the U.S. The government enforces that. Why is beyond me. How will it help to raise minimum wage if 50% of minimum wage jobs are replaced by machines? Because I promise you that will happen as soon as min wage is increased. I'd rather have 2 million minimum wage workers making $7.50 an hour than 900,000 minimum wage workers making $12.00 an hour. Teenagers will have zero chance to be hired. Then this creates more dependence on the governement for unemployment, meaning more taxation on you and I, to pay for those who cannot find even a minimum wage job.
2. We disagree here. My neighbor across the street is a real fvck up and has never had a job. He's 26, and living in his parentsbig house with aluminum foil over his windows. He got caught with Ritalin in high school and since then he never gave a fvck. He's just mooching off of his parents and will most likely never change his ways. Why should he?
3. Agree with most of this, except I vote for lower taxes and less government services.
4. Good points there. My uncle has CP and recently had to have disc decompression surgery. Poor guy fvcked up a lot in life (he had a contract to build all USPS buildings in southern U.S. region but gambled the money away and spent it all on wh0res). So now he has no health care and no savings. He still see's a regular prostitute. I do think we should help out those with prior medical conditions who cannot get private insurance due to pre-existing conditions, but only that population.
5. Mhm. I don't have all the details from the email I got, but it was something along these lines:
This guy was a civil engineer (around 50 years old) and made a decent living. His girlfriend was a single mother who was not employed. The man was paying close to $500 a month while she was LITERALLY paying a single dollar per month. So it's discrimination. Since he worked hard and became successful, he was punished. While his girlfriend, who really didn't do anything all day, was rewarded. That's called negative reinforcement.
6. Medicine is the biggest waste. Doctors will be making scraps soon enough thanks again to beloved Obamacare. I'm going into Business Finance at Texas A&M next year. One of my friends graduated a year ago and got a job at a very prestigious business in New York. He's making $100k in his first year of employment, and by his third year will be up to $400k. Now, this is in NYC so the cost of living is absurd, but hell that sounds pretty good to me. He graduated with the same degree I'm going to get. College loans are quite a scam, but if you actually put yourself out there after college you'll find a good paying job that will allow you to pay it back slowly over a few years. I know an OBGYN who is 50, and although she makes $500k a year she JUST finished paying off student loans. Med school is the biggest rip off, IMO, as are degrees in lib arts, language, and undergrad psychology (and cultural studies).
If these kids going to college didn't get a degree in "Asain studies", they'd be able to pay off their student loans and move out of their parents basement before age 28.
I agree the candidates are extremely weak this election besides Donald. Hillary is a lying psychopath (really, she literally is one, and a massive liar / thief), Bernie is a socialist, Ted Cruz has decent policy but is so cheesy andunlikeable. I do like Marco Rubio, but I think he's still too young to be the president. Chris Christie is a fat fvck who has no political strategy except blaming Obama.
I loved the dem Ohio governer who said "Clean energy is the fastest growing industry in America" yet he doesn't speak about how expensive solar panels and windmills are. And how inefficient they actually are. And the whole electric car thing is so frustrating, as people don't see that our main source of energy (by far) is burning coal. China's looking at mandating all-electric cars, but they get almost 100% of their electricity from coal, and dirty coal at that. And here we are back at global warming.
