Wrist Roller --- Holy Sh!t

I've never really trained forearms that actively which admittedly has been a blind spot over the years.

Saw a Wrist Roller pop up while I was on Amazon, it was like $15 and had 4.7 stars from hundreds of reviews, so I was like, fvck it, I'll get it just to try it out and see what it's like.

Got it in, took a 5lb dumbbell and attached it, and holy fvcking sh!t...after 2 times up and down my forearms felt like they were on fire on both sides. Made it to 5 times up and down and my forearms were tore up from the floor up for the rest of the day.

Have been using it the last week and it's crazy how effective this is and how weak my forearms are in comparison to the rest of me.

Highly recommended.

I have been using a piece of timber dowelling about 1.5 inch diameter for years
just a threaded "O"ring and a short piece of sash cord and you have the same thing.

They are highly effective with continual increase in overload. They force both the flexors and extensors to have continuous muscle tension (time under tension) and as long as you are increasing the weight being used regularly the muscle has no say in the matter really.

It's simply a repose to external stimuli.

really common issue for white collar. many blue collar men have really strong forearms. welders, blacksmith, mechanics. go to a custom upholstery shop and look at the guy stretching the fabric onto the frames.... keyboards just don't build muscle.

sounds like a good solution. I'll likely try it.

Double that with punching drills on a Makiwara board and you'll REALLY get some chiseled Greek statuesque forearms! Sensei had us use the wrist rollers each class. He'd make you do an additional up/down if he caught anyone "wobbling" side to side (not keeping the spindle level with the floor) to cheat!

Happy to report that based on my newest scans, my forearms have already grown 0.6 inches from last scan.

Compounding growth over time will be pretty great with this is seems.
