I once got a programming gig in the early '00s where OS/2 was used. I was like WTF? Most amazing piece of sheet ever to compile C++.

OS2 was its own thing no doubt, that’s why I wiped the boxes and tossed Linux on them like pre dot 1.

NeXTSTEP was much more fun, the Mach kernel was pretty cool. BSD was/is solid.
