I was in the park with her yesterday, and every time I saw an attractive chick, I'd be checking her out. I know that would not be happening if i was into this girl.

So i don't want to get into something with someone halfcocked as that will bring problems down the line.

Yes i may be attracted to her today on the basis that there is no-one else in my life, but i sure wouldn't pick her out of a line up.

I wouldn't mind if it was just sex but i have the feeling she would want more and as a friend of my cousin that would mean problems.

The two questions you need to ask here are:

1. Is she fun?

2. Is she in control?

If she drinks and smokes a lot, that could mean she's fun as hell and likes to party hard or has a really active social life and lots of friends. But that could also mean she's a depressed self-medicating alcoholic. One of those things is fun, the other is not.

As for being in control, If she sees a psychiatrist and takes meds that could mean she's doing all she can to better herself, resolve her issues and move on in life... Or it could mean she's a barely sane nut job who is one day of forgetting her meds away from running into the street naked with paranoid delusions.

Only you will know if you should date her or run, use this as a guide.

Too many large type red flags, but whatever she can be classified as in terms of a disorder or mental illness, the fact that she is substituting drugs and alcohol for having a job means she is of the low functioning variety, still suffering, and not all together there personally…
