"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

World's Smartest Chick

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Wow, that's pretty phenomenal... I'm glad people like her are out there being amazing in science and medicine... not exactly my kind of subjects. I'm curious to hear what some of the hardcore misogynists on this board have to say about her.

There are zero misogynists on the board.

There are however tons of hardcore beta male AFC crabs in a barrel here that like to hate on the DJ's with the misogynist label because DJ's do not coddle AFC self defeating ego idealizations and world views.

In anycase she seems like a damn cool chick.

Apparently not a ball buster or femi-nazi judging by her tone of voice and attitude.

Definitely wish there were more smart people like her in the world.

Thats what makes this blue ball of dirt a better place.

Some of the big time posters here like to name their screen name from characters in a book....written by a woman. There is such a thing as a cool, smart chick who is not a femanazi.

Both my grandmother and mother are very smart women too, and I don't consider them to be femanazis. My grandmother was a chemist, and my mother has a psychology degree from Stanford, and she was also a politician, but I don't consider her a hardcore feminist. She does think women should have equal rights under the law, but she doesn't buy into all the other more modern BS of the hardcore feminists.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

what I meant was that there are some people on here who seem to be very anti-women.. maybe thats just what I've gathered from reading their posts..

I have been appointed by the Deligation of misogynistis and misanthropes to answer this question. Eva Vertes is the standard by which teens should be judged. While the extent of her feminine qualities cannot be judged from the available materials, the Deligation of misogynists and misanthropes is prepared to state that the world would be a better place with more people like her in it.

Thank you.

This is the kind of check you can love - and not like her physical make-up!

A few comments on her talk:

Cancer is not a natural thing for the body to do. But her research will go into an area that no professor has thought of, which is cool and I'll see what she comes up with.

Cancer is the accumulation of mutations over time. Yes, her injury comment makes sense because in the process of repairing injured tissue, new cells must be created and those divisions run the risk of mutations. Enough accumulated mutations and you get cancer. This is also why more old people get cancer as opposed to young people, who have had less time to accumulate.

As for me, I know cancer is a genetic disorder, and that is the way I'm gonna go. It was pretty cool watching that talk, thanks for sharing, really motivated me to work harder...there's other people out there to compete with.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
