Working as a Bus Boy

Has anyone here had a bus boy job in a restaurant? How did you like it? Did you meet people while you were working there?

I'm looking for a part-time job this summer (like 20 hours a week) and I'm considering getting a job as a bus boy. I'm also contemplating getting my bar tending license as well so that I can hopefully move up to becoming a bartender at some point. Anyone have any experiences or recommendations?

I'm thinking of doing something similar. Though I'm probably getting a job as a barback in a high end casual bar and restaurant. Hopefully will become a bartender or server there soon.
