"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I got to talking to this woman on OK Cupid, I actually knew her in real life as only an acquaintance through a party I went to last year. I started off with, "Hey,you look familiar..." (No this wasn't a line, if it actually DID happen, lol)

We get to talking and she beat me to the punch in only 2 messages, wanting to meet in person. I said, "Sure, may I get your number so I can call you up to make arrangements? It'll likely be next week."

She says, "I prefer to just meet as friends and see where it goes from there, please."

I was then taken aback by this, because she refused to give me her number.

Now, I usually have a policy about NOT getting a woman's number, I always had required that I talk and hear them on the phone first before meeting in person.

But I got a tip from a female friend that is also on OK Cupid saying that she NEVER gives her number, and just makes arrangements through the dating app messaging system. You know, date, time, and address of the restaurant.

She says the reason is that her phone number is VERY personal to her, and she doesn't want every Tom, **** and Harry from the online dating world having it in his possession. I think she mentioned how she had this guy constantly texting her throughout the day.

I think I may make an exception, because SHE initiated meeting.

Thoughts? Forget the number, and just arrange the meeting?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

idk, it is entirely possible that she has had experiences with dudes who have gotten ugly via her phone, and that is why she wants to scope you out before she hands over the digits.
The good news is that there will be no way for you to over text her before you meet :)

She has a boyfriend mate. But the relationship is getting dull so she's currently exploring her options. She has low interest already so the meet up might not go well. This situation lies entirely on your gaming skills, that puts all the pressure on you.

You can meet with her but you better make your intentions clear if friendship isn't what you looking otherwise she'll make you one of her orbiters

If it were me I would've stopped talking to her when she refused with her number.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

You should read it. Women with low interest don't waste time on dates.. unless they are professional daters (which we weed out by offering the cheap coffee / drink date instead of dinner).

Do not do this. There is no need to "make your intentions clear." Women aren't stupid, they know what asking them out means. And no, orbiters don't get to go on dates.

If it were me I would've stopped talking to her when she refused with her number.
Why? She offered to meet. The phone number is only for getting the date.

You don't need the number. If she suggested the date, set a day/time/location about 2 days in advance. If she is interested, she will give you the number afterwards
