I agree he should break up with her as it's clear he doesn't trust her or he wouldn't have snooped her phone in the first place.

Also, even now after she told him it was non-consensual due to being drunk at a party, he doesn't believe her.

So yeah there is zero trust there regardless of whatever she did as a teenager in HS after having too much to drink.

Sometimes something either bothers you or it doesnt, sometimes there is no middle ground. If it bothers you so much, she might not even be worth it as a plate. Might as well cut your losses and be better off spending that time and mental energy on fishing for new prospects.

I think so... I mean I knew she was in "love with me" before this incident as she had alluded to it, but in the week since then she has been extra emotional crying and telling me she loves meand is scared to lose me etc. Like constantly. Like 20 times plus a day saying shes in love etc its a bit unhinged and everything was normal a week back. Saying "she would do anything for me and wouldnt know what to do without me in her life etc" which makes me feel kind of bad for her.

I don’t see how this change anything. There’s no reason you needed to entice her in any way to read her phone. If she offered it, you should have simply declined.

I see what you’re trying to do here and it’s manipulative. You’re trying to make it out that this woman is unhinged but there’s no way to get around it, you sat there and read her private communication. No matter how you try to paint it, that was deeply insecure and now you can’t handle what you found out.
