Your point? If there is one thing to be learned is that frankly, the majority of the females of the species are not heavy relational thinkers - they tend to be driven by emotion not consequence. Besides she is a special snowflake, of course, the violent felon wouldn't ever dare hurt her she's too valuable.

Dude's family had major status in South Carolina. This is more reminiscent of British Royal Worship than raw lust. But still based on power.
