I just realized this sad fact. I have been down in the dumps as of late, becuase of lack of female companionship (most of my life). Most of my friends have girlfriends and they do not have anything I don't. I just went out with a girl last week whom is g/f material, but I did not think it went too well. Lately, I heard otherwise (good thing) and I just received an e-mail from her. The point is, I just went from being depressed to feeling a whole lot better because of some girls e-mail. It still seems my life happiness is based off on hooking up with girls and having a relationship. This is scary and I the battle to get the DJ mindset is not an easy one. Anyone have any more tips?

“The 22 Psychological Triggers That Make Women Chase You… Starting Tonight”

Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.

I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Then I decoded the psychology behind what actually makes women tick. 22 hard rules.  Subtle behavioral shifts that rewired my entire reality. The anxiety evaporated. Women started leaning in. Investing. Chasing.

Don't sweat it, Mahon. Such a mindset is not difficult to attain once you have the necessary confidence in yourself. There are numerous articles on this site detailing the first steps towards self-confidence.

A problem is only a problem when you perceive it as such. Your apparent lack of female companionship is not a problem. You have to go out and meet new girls. There are three billion of them out there, Mahon. With confidence in yourself, you should prove yourself attractive to most of those. You know it.

That's not the point, though. Your happiness comes from within you. Only once you start being happy with yourself the way you are, it shows. And that radiance attracts people.

Another way to think about it is this: if you are prone to feeling lonely and such and somehow you actually manage to get a girl interested in you, you will feel happy. Fair enough.

However, the fact that you depend on her for your own happiness means that she holds complete power over you. When she says jump, you jump your highest for fear of losing her which would cause you to revert to loneliness.

Instead of being her boyfriend, you would be her toy. And, as glorious as that may seem in the moment, it is actually the most damaging state that a guy can be in. Trust me. I've been there.

On the other hand, if you are happy with yourself, you will realise that girls are not the source of your happiness. You would be able to hold the power in your relationships and get what you want from them. You will realise that relationshipps with girls are an enhancement to your life rather than your life itself.

The girl who sent you the email? Forget about making her your girlfriend. And I don't mean that you should put 'gaming' her to the sideline for a little while, I mean forget about it COMPLETELY.

The road to self-confidence is a perilous one. Just when you think you've found self-confidence, you'll likely encounter a situation in which you could either be smart and sidestep a chance to make an ass of yourself, or you could fall into the trap of being infatuated with a single girl, humiliating yourself in the process. I'm warning you. Sidestep it. I damn near made a fool of myself earlier tonight...

I can see that you're going to achieve the self-confident mindset. I can see it because I was once in your exact position. I can see it because you've managed to identify your predicament and admit it. And that's the very first step. A journey of a hundred miles begins with a single step. Your journey will take as long as you want it to.

Pick yourself up. All of your fellow DJs are here to help you. That's what this site is for. I know I'll be smiling when I read your field reports in a couple of months.

Dude I haven't had a girlfriend let alone a date in the last 3 years, and it's the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Of course everyone wants campionship but learn how to live alone. I get plenty of opprotunities but right now I am at a point where women just get on my god damn nerves, and my job leaves me too stressed as it is.

Well... you just have to realize that happiness is as easy as simply choosing to be happy.

Realize that women won't make you happy. YOU make yourself happy. Happiness is a mindstate. You depend too much on approval of other to determine your happiness.

Let go of your desire of approval. Moreso realize that since happiness can be a chosen mindstate for you to be in, you do not need approval to be happy. You can be happy without having approval.

If you think you still can't be happy realizing this... then realize that the reason why you are still not happy is because you think that you do not deserve to be happy.

This is self pity!

Deep down you think you don't deserve to be happy!

Everyone deserves to be happy! It is just part of social conditioning to think that when things aren't going the way you would like it to, that you are supposed to feel bad. This is nonsense. You can feel happiness and peace whenever you want.

A good method I use is the Sedona Method. Just read about it.... search for it on Yahoo. There is a book written about it.

Ask yourself "Could I let go of my own approval?" Just ask this for about 5 to 10 minutes and see how at peace you feel. When you ask this question to yourself... just concentrate on the feeling you get. Just think.. let go... let go of wanting other people's approval OR your own, to be happy. Because Happiness is a choice! Whether unconscious of conscious.

PM me if youd like.

It seems to me that there is a void in your life that women or dating can feel. I'd pray about it or something.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
They have power because you give it to them.

You can take it away. Stop fearing being without her.

Women aren't sh*t. Despite what the media tells you, you do not NEED to be hooking up and having sex to be happy.

Mahon what you describe is something I've gone through as well.

I'd overanalyze every move I made (in no small part due to this site and reading and learning), and then I'd still get a vibe like things went bad. So I'd feel depressed, or worried about how things were going and then all of a sudden the girl would call or e-mail and I'd be pumped up.

It's a no win situation. Why? Because you are basing your emotions on how someone else thinks or responds.

So my focus for the new year, is to always focus on the present. It is important to get flow in your life.

So when I'm at work, I'm actually going to enjoy the work I'm doing rather than wonder about some girlfriend or what beer I want to drink after work.

When I'm at the gym, I'm going to focus on the workout, rather than the 100 other things i do.

A good book to read to get you in this mind set is THE PRESENT, I believe it's by Ken Blanchard in the business section. Sit down at Barnes and Noble and read it one setting. It's a small book, but it teaches a valuable lesson in life.

I also heard a quote the other day that was interesting
"We can learn alot from a postage stamp, it's one of the few things that sticks to one thing until the job is done"

So by focusing more on activities that we are doing than worrying about the next move some girl is going to make, we will be happier and accomplish more.

Easier said than done, but it's my plan for next year. A new mantra "Be Present"

yes. Another great addition to The Present would be another book called The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

The present is like a portal to happiness.
