On the past couple of first dates I went to, I've always got this line from the girls saying 'You remind me of my ex' or something along that lines. Lo and behold, date goes fairly well to ok and then boom they go ghost never to go out again. Is this a mere coincidence or am I doing something to trigger?

I just look at her, smile and continue conversation about something else. And I usually get this later on in the date where the mood is more relaxed and time to lay off the CF.

Fairly well to ok - that sounds like it was kinda "almost OK". In that case it's always a 50/50 if you see her again. So

To your question, not sure what it means but it sounds like she's trying to test you about something. In that situation I usually ignore and dismiss, just as you have done. Can't analyze everything.

Depends what their relationship with their father is like....

Women's love is based on respect and adoration. Or hypergamy in it's simplest form : is he inferior or superior to me...

If she has a healthy relationship with her father based on respect and adoration and she tells you that you are like/remind her of him....

It can only be positive...

Just keep that FATHER / daughter FRAME nice and strong..

If on the other hand she has daddy issues and she says you remind her of him.....

or if he is a bum...

That's a different story...

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
